5. Project Day
Tuesday, 31st April 2015

Today we met at 9 am in the Alfred-Delp-Haus. All leaders and participants were still a bit tired because of the final farewell evening the day before.
We started our day with a questionary about the project “I am MOVING in my NATURE” and we talked about our unforgettable time with our guests from the Azores/S. Miguel island.
After that, each group presented their PowerPoint to the others. We’ve got knowledge about the different school systems, traditions, historical topics and interesting news of the two different countries.
In the break we spent our time with playing snooker, table soccer and with eating snacks.
Around 1 pm we went for lunch at Willingen in the restaurant “Hof Elsemann”. Then we went for ice skating to the ice sports hall. For some Azorean students it was the first time that they went ice skating. A new experience.
At 5 pm we returned to Brilon. Back at the Alfred-Delp-Haus we prepared our last dinner together and had a fantastic evening.
Tomorrow we´ll have to get up really early at 3 am for the departure of the Azorean team.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET THIS AWESOME WEEK IN BRILON !!! Thank you!!!

P.S.: We are looking forward to meet us again in S. Miguel island in July 2015

5. Project Day
Monday, 30th March 2015

In the morning we did an energizer to wake up from the Sunday night. After that we started the collages about our dream world and desire nature. Each group of four people on their own. We designed the collages with things we found in the environment over the week. We made a break and ate finger food. Then we finished the collages with a lot of fun and creative ideas. Furthermore we designed our own T-Shirts and everyone signed them. Moreover we painted a big and wonderful tree out of wood as a sign for nature and a symbol for our group. During the afternoon we cooked an intercultural dinner for the final evening. We invited our parents, friends and the mayor of Brilon. Before we started to eat, we presented our collages and thanked everyone that participated in this project. After the dinner all students had a great disco evening in the Alfred-Delp-Haus while the parents went home ;-)
We had a lot of fun!!!!

3. Project Day
Saturday, 28th March 2015

We all met at the old ‘Finanzamt’ at 9 o’clock with the Geopark Guide Mrs. Cordula Vellmer. We all packed our bags with apples, “Müsliriegel”, “Laugenstangen”, German sausages, cheese and drinks. Mrs. Vellmer told us interesting things about the history of Brilon and about the city hall, the church and the landmark of Brilon- a donkey.
We started to hike out of Brilon to the Youth Hostel, then we walked into the forest and further to Gudenhagen, where the ‘Kyrilltor’ is. We planted trees with Mr. Gruß and Mr. Ma**er from the “Briloner Bürgerwald”. After this special event the german students told us something about the hurricane named ‘Kyrill’ and its follows. At this place we had also a short break and went to the ‘Hiebammen Hütte' where we ate a hot meal. There we also met a portuguese waitress, who talked to the azorian students.
After the lunch we hiked on top of the ‘Borberg’, which is also a piece of the ‘Rothaarsteig’. Mean while we were blind folded and the German students guide us through a path which lead to an awesome view. There we also had a little break with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some cake, which was prepared by Kathrin’s Mum and Sister.
At last but not least we walked down the hill to the train station and drove home by train, where Rodrigo Raposo left his scarf ;-)
A couple of hours later, we all met at the swimming pool in Willingen and had a lot of fun. Nice day- nice evening.

2. Project Day
Friday, 27th March 2015

At 07:35 am our group met at school “Marienschule Brilon”. There the azorean people got to know information about classes and lessons in Germany. They were able to visit lessons for example in French, Biology, Chemistry or Math.

After the second lesson we took the bus and drove to Medebach to the swimming pool. We stayed there for 2 hours and had a lot of fun inside and outside. A special effect was a pool with waves.

At the beginning of the afternoon we drove by bus to the “Panorama-Restaurant” in Winterberg. Everyone ate a different kind of food. Later Vanessa ordered a dessert for kids. First everybody was laughing but suddenly everyone wanted to have the same. Delicious.

When we finished our lunch our group went to “Neuastenberg” to a kart racing. There we shared all students in two groups. The winner from the first competition was Benedikt and from the second Justin. Even the teamer tried to take part at the competition.

Then we drove back to Brilon and went to the judo training. Maria, Alexandra, Diogo and Rodrigo took part at the training, too. It was very interesting to see how they practiced judo in Germany and compare it with Portuguese judo lessons.

At the end of our day the German and Portuguese students went to a restaurant. We spend there a good evening together and enjoyed it very much.
