I passed my first „modest trial Vipassana course“ before applying for the „original“ one close to Mumbai in Jan., when the bookings will be open. I`m very glad to find my „personal perfect match“ to live and combine the polarities of silence within sitting and dynamic strategic bodywork within the Ashtanga sequence; I don`t want to convince anyone or sell something – only for inspiring for myself and persons who appreciate this eventually. After this course as a test, if I could imagine to „survive“ the ususal sitting episodes of 10 days „Goenka style“ with 10 h of meditation each day, I`m convinced and planning my next retreat in India with some really beautiful teachings, locations and meetings like celebrating the end of the year at a beach in Mumbai, joining the Osho center in Pune, taking part of the Vipassana course, relaxing at „Konkan“ with practicing (Ashtanga-)Yoga as well of course. I appreciate Vipassana so much for understanding, how we can „educate“ our mind and learn to see the “big picture”, the things as they are: from a „waterfall“- (loud and chaotic) style to a river (loud and chaotic futher on with permanent movement) – finally (hopefully) to a „lakestate“: silent, clear and calmful and realize in what way to react. This means awareness and observation of the mind, the breath, the body by partielly scan – than changing to a more „flowing“ one – finally the „Metta meditation“ and praying for the people within the Himalaya. I prepared this text before the tragedy of the flash flood and my words are not sufficient to describe my feelings and permanent thoughts of all victims and helpers. Our “daily drama” is nothing against this natural violence and to pray and donate is our duty!
