Healing.✨What is it?
•
Healing takes different forms. We can find it through movement, communication, touch, stillness, music and arts, ceremony, medicine. As defined by Oxford Languages, healing is "the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again." Simply put. In any application of healing, we are changing variables that make up the current condition of the body (through exercise, nutrition, medicine, physical/mental/emotional/energetic therapy, etc.). Keyword here: "current". For true healing to happen... true presence is needed. In being present, we quiet the noise of the internal chatter, connect to ourselves in whatever form we are in (acceptance), which allows us to clearly see what is, what our needs are rather than our desires. (Though desires should not be shunned from our lives, but that’s a topic for another time.) How does one become more present? So many avenues to take here, but the quickest shortcut is through physical presence. Have you ever had a massage? Did you ever have the experience of when receiving, something presented itself "out of nowhere" (maybe a physical ache/pain, emotion, thought) that you had never recognized before or maybe had not thought about or felt for some time? This therapy, like energy work, brings you into a deeper awareness with how your body/being is currently existing, how our past reflections and future projections are manifesting in our present day tissues, our structure, even to our approach in life. In my personal approach, I read the body‘s presence through energy and touch with clinical knowledge to act as a guide (think tour guide) to that which needs to leave the body, and to that which needs to find its home. Creating stability and balance for that which stays, and clearing a path for that which goes.
We bring things back into place.
We bring ourselves back into place.
Back home...becoming sound and healthy again.
I encourage you to take time to be present. Find your therapy. Find your healing. Find yourself. Return home.✨
