We train every Monday night in Bonn-Tannenbusch through the winter - in summer we train on Thursdays in the beautiful Rheinaue, in Bonn. DWCC walked in with intent and delivered a competitive 160-run target, setting the stage for a fiery contest. The bowlers came out hungry, reducing Bonn CC to 54/5 in just 7 overs, and for a moment the game felt firmly in DWCC’s grip. But momentum slipped away as Bonn CC rebuilt calmly and took the match deep.

There were still standout moments for DWCC. Yash, the deserved Man of the Match, smashed a brilliant 50 off 28 balls, injecting energy and control into the innings. Ayush backed it up with a superb spell of 3/22 in 4 overs, striking at crucial stages and keeping DWCC in the fight throughout.

Despite the effort, it’s now 2 defeats in a row, and the road ahead is simple - 2 games left, both must-win to stay alive in the knockout race. The belief is strong, the squad is hungry, and DWCC know how to respond when the pressure is highest.

DWCC wrapped up the final Group C match of the WDCV Verbandsliga 30‑overs league with a commanding performance against Blackcaps Legends in Düsseldorf. After restricting the opposition to 97 all out in 21.2 overs through disciplined bowling and consistent pressure, our bowlers set the perfect platform for the day. The chase was executed with confidence and control, led by Sudhanva’s composed 40 off 39 balls, supported by Sidheek’s steady 21 off 23. We reached 98 for 2 in just 14 overs, sealing an emphatic eight‑wicket victory. This win not only reflects the team’s hard work and consistency throughout the league this season but also confirms DWCC as the top team in Group C heading into the knockout stage.
