Rennbericht 1000km von Wittgenborn 🏁
Es wird besser und besser📈
Wir waren wieder in Wittgenborn, auf dieser Strecke, auf der wir in der letzten Saison einen Sieg errungen haben. Unser Ziel für dieses besondere Rennen über eine Distanz von 1000 km war ziemlich klar. Wir wollten endlich einen Podiumsplatz für das Team. Am Freitagabend war alles vorbereitet, wir haben viel getestet und versucht, unser Setup bestmöglich zu optimieren.
In der einzigen kurzen Quali-Session am nächsten Tag lagen wir mit beiden Teams im Mittelfeld. Die Pace der beiden Karts war sehr stark und die #75 sammelte auch einige Führungsrunden für die Geschichtsbücher. Nach 3h gewann die #175 ihr achtes Masters-Rennen in Folge, was für eine Leistung!
Am Nachmittag dann der erste Schock. Niklas hatte in Turn 1 eine Art Reifenproblem, so dass wir schnell an die Box mussten und das rechte Hinterrad wechselten. Das war sehr frustrierend, aber wir haben weitergemacht. Unser zweites Team hatte ein paar Probleme mit dem Heckprotektor, aber Klaus hat das schnell behoben. Es gab auch zwei kleine Strafen für die #175. Wir erreichten das Ende des ersten Tages. Wir sehen uns im Parc-Ferme, also mussten alle Teams ihre Karts in eine Garage an der Strecke stellen.
Der nächste Tag stand an und wir hatten noch Hoffnung auf eine gute Podiumsplatzierung. Ein paar Stunden nach dem Start hatte die #175 einen kleinen Kontakt mit der #91, aber nichts Ernstes. Die Fahrer der #75 berichteten von einem Leistungsverlust während der letzten Stints.
Es gab ein Ölleck am Motor, so dass wir den Motor wechseln mussten und mit der freundlichen Hilfe von der #44 waren wir schnell wieder auf der Strecke. Aber wir haben eine Menge Runden auf die Spitzengruppe verloren. Am Ende des Rennens regnete es auch noch, aber beide Teams brachten die Karts nach Hause.

Trotz aller technischen Rückschläge haben wir wieder viel Erfahrung für das Chassis gesammelt. Wir müssen uns in der Zentrale noch einige Dinge ansehen, aber der Fortschritt ist immer noch da. Wir wissen, was wir tun müssen und werden einige gute Upgrades für Wackersdorf mitbringen.
Alle wichtigen Teile werden ausgetauscht und wir werden beide Karts mit einer neuen, frischen Lackierung ausstatten. Wir wissen, dass wir über die langen Stints eine starke Pace haben, also ist unser Hauptziel, endlich das "BIG ONE" zu gewinnen!
Aber nach diesen drei stressigen Rennen brauchen wir eine Pause vom Rennsport.
Wir sehen uns alle in nur vier Wochen in Wackersdorf wieder. 💪🏼🫶🏼

Race report 1000km from Wittgenborn 🏁
It gets better and better📈
We were back in Wittgenborn, on the track where we won last season. Our goal for this particular race over a distance of 1000 km was pretty clear. We finally wanted a podium finish for the team. Everything was prepared on Friday evening, we did a lot of testing and tried to optimize our setup as much as possible.
In the only short qualifying session the next day, we were in the midfield with both teams. The pace of the two karts was very strong and the #75 also collected some leading laps for the history books. After 3 hours, the #175 won its eighth Masters race in a row, what an achievement!
Then came the first shock in the afternoon. Niklas had some kind of tire problem in Turn 1, so we had to pit quickly and change the right rear wheel. That was very frustrating, but we carried on. Our second team had a few problems with the rear protector, but Klaus quickly fixed that. There were also two small penalties for the #175. We reached the end of the first day. See you at Parc-Ferme, so all the teams had to put their karts in a garage at the track.
The next day was coming up and we still had hopes of a good podium finish. A few hours after the start, the #175 had a small contact with the #91, but nothing serious. The drivers of the #75 reported a loss of power during the final stints.
There was an oil leak on the engine so we had to change the engine and with the kind help of the #44 we were quickly back on track. But we lost a lot of laps to the leading group. It rained at the end of the race, but both teams brought the karts home.

Despite all the technical setbacks, we again gained a lot of experience for the chassis. We still need to look at a few things at the headquarters, but the progress is still there. We know what we need to do and will bring some good upgrades for Wackersdorf.
All the major parts will be replaced and we will give both karts a fresh new livery. We know we have a strong pace over the long stints, so our main goal is to finally win the "BIG ONE"!
But after these three stressful races, we need a break from racing.
We'll see you all again in Wackersdorf in just four weeks. 💪🏼🫶🏼
