Do you know those moments when, all of a sudden, there is absolute emptiness all around you? 🏜️
You look around and there is no clear path in sight. It’s just you, the earth and the sky. This photograph was taken some time ago in the desert – but the feeling behind it is universal. It’s a situation that we face time and again in life.
In these moments, we may feel either a deep loneliness or, conversely, the deepest sense of connection. And the beautiful thing is: this moment can catch up with us anywhere. At home, in the middle of a crowded shopping centre, or out in the desert.
It is a precious, sacred moment. When it comes: embrace it. Put your phone away. And listen to what is waiting to be heard deep inside you. ✨

🇵🇹 This had been on my bucket list for years:

🥾I spent a week hiking alone along the Fisherman’s Trail in southern Portugal. There were times when I felt I had reached my limits and wanted to fly straight back home. But there were even more moments when I felt proud and grateful for having completed a difficult section of the trail. There were moments when I I found myself in tears overwhelmed by the beauty of the wild sea, the rugged cliffs and the gentle green hills. There were also moments when I was delighted by the 🌈a rainbow, a meaningful encounter with a stranger or an unexpectedly lavender-scented room with a sea view.
It was a magic expereince and I would like to tell you:

☀️Don’t put it off! Book the flight and set off!
☀️Travelling alone is challenging, but it guarantees an intense learning experience.
☀️When the going gets tough, don’t give up — just take a break.
☀️Hiking in nature is more healing than anything.

This is the first pot holder my seven-year-old granddaughter crocheted.
I made the border to cover up a few uneven spots. It’s my favourite kitchen tool, and it always makes me smile when I see it.
It encourages me to try new things, to show imperfect results, and to give up striving for perfection altogether.

Just do things, make mistakes, don’t let that stop you from being visible. Learn from the children.
