Last January, I decided that 2016 would be the year that I will run a marathon. The plan was to run a 10K in Spring, followed by a half-marathon in the Summer and this would be topped off by a marathon in Autumn/ Winter. The 10K was a doddle, but it still took about 6 weeks of training. The summer half marathon goal was accomplished but it was slightly hampered by a bout of the infamous runner's knee.
