I'm about to move to a new house after six years, which means a new work studio! These are the last few days it'll be empty, so I took the opportunity to snap a picture :)

For those who started to follow me recently, I'm Laura, an Argentine freelance illustrator living in Berlin. I mostly work on children's books, book covers and editorial illustration, but I love seeing illustration applied to endless different surfaces.

I also always try to keep personal projects going (big or small) to try to stay inspired (even if I don't always succeed 😬) I also love love love music, reading, baking bread and cookies, watching movies and documentaries, and discovering random facts

Es la primera vez que, aunque hayamos perdido, no siento tanta angustia al día siguiente. Obviamente es porque toda la alegría y la gratitud que esta selección nos hizo sentir pesa mucho más que una sola derrota.

Estos días recordé mucho el día que vi a entrar en un mundial por primera vez. Alemania 2006, entró en el segundo tiempo con Serbia y Montenegro. Recuerdo que vi ese partido en mi habitación del departamento de la calle Bulnes, con amigas del colegio en una tele de tubo chiquita. No puedo evitar sentir nostalgia y no puedo creer que pasaron 20 años de eso.

Desde Francia 98 que entiendo lo que es un Mundial y la magnitud. Las emociones intensas que genera. Vi a Argentina irse en fase de grupos el día de mi cumpleaños en 2002 y es el día de hoy que lo recuerdo. Durante muchos años ver a la Selección ganar, era solamente un sueño y una vivencia que solo mis papás me contaban que habían vivido con Maradona.

Gracias por hacernos campeones de absolutamente todo, por ayudarnos a creer, por ser reales y por hacernos vivir otro Mundial hasta el final. Un mes y medio increíble, de risas, de llantos, de gritos, de prode, de cábalas, de llamadas a la madrugada, de alegría infinita 🤍

y Scaloneta te vamos a extrañar!!!

Estoy muy contenta de compartir finalmente este trabajo que hice para revista de divulgación científica de la en Galicia, España.

Me encantó ilustrar este relato de ficción basado en hechos históricos reales sobre los bosques y los lamentables incendios que azotan Galicia hace años, haciendo hincapié en la esperanza de que un cambio es posible y en la importancia de cuidar de los bosques.

Muchas gracias al equipo de por confiar en mi trabajo y en mi visión para este proyecto. Voy a compartir más del proceso en los próximos días!

invited me to create an illustration that shows their furniture integrating in it 💖

When I was approached about this collaboration, I knew right away that I wanted to focus on one of the moments I treasure most - and one that has become so hard to find lately because of how much time we spend online, on our phones, and in the digital world.

Tiptoe’s beautiful furniture inspired me to portray a peaceful scene: a rainy summer night, unhurried, with endless time to dedicate to drawing and imagination, stepping away from the need for immediacy. It’s about reconnecting with a slower pace to create things truly from the heart.

Some of the details you'll find:

🎵Music / Vinyl records: Music is always by my side; it’s an essential part of my daily life and a huge source of inspiration. My vinyl records are my treasure, and listening to them instantly takes me back to my teenage years.
🎨The Bauhaus poster: I deeply identify with it, and it connects me straight back to my university days.
✨Frieren poster: The poster of the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I discovered it quite recently, and it brought back a huge spark of the imagination I thought I’d somewhat lost.
🇩🇪Berlin: the incredible city where I live, the one that changed my life and inspires me every day.
