🇸🇸 Junior Starlets Face Defining Test Against Uganda
South Sudan’s Junior Starlets have work to do after a challenging opening day at the CAF African Schools Championship CECAFA qualifiers.
The U-15 side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Rwanda before settling for a 0-0 draw against Burundi, leaving them with one point from two matches.
The numbers tell the story: 0 goals scored, 1 conceded.
But the campaign is not over.
The Junior Starlets have one final group game against Uganda tomorrow, and their progression hopes will depend on the result and the results between Rwanda/Burundi.
The biggest area for improvement is clear: turning defensive discipline into attacking threat. They have shown they can stay in games, but they now need to create more chances, be sharper in front of a goal, and show greater confidence in the final third.
