With all the commotion about the future of the game in the last few days, we here at the AGoT LCG World Team Championship (yeah the name was due to change for a long time now) think it is time to inform you about the future of the Team event.
✔️ First and foremost we can confirm that we are here to stay and the next World Team Championship will be held as always in Stahleck, Germany 2020!
✔️ Secondly we are eager to work closely with the new players committee about the future of the game we love!
✔️ Now that this is clear it is time for the Nations Statistics after the last Team Event held in Stahleck 2019.
Remember that this scoreboard plays an important role for the next WTC. When 2 countries face each other this scoreboard decides which country makes the first assignment!
Sit back and read with a hot cup of coffee. Or cold brew, it depends on your country :P
🏆 29 Countries with participations from USA and Asia have graced us so far. A number that shows the success of this story and that the Team event has reached the far reaches of the World!
🇬🇷 Greece is at the top of the standings being the only Country with 3 Gold Medals and 4 participations on the Final table!
But... 🇵🇱Poland and 🇨🇿Czech Republic after their match in the finals in the last WTC and Greece's poor performance have closed the gap and are right behind!
🇳🇱 Netherlands is always one of the teams that plays really focused and well and that has earned them the 4th place in standings but has never reached Top 4 and they haven't got a medal to show of!
🇧🇬 Bulgaria is hungry. Hungry for something more than the 2 bronze medals they got. Watch out for them!
🏴 England started with the Gold in the first team event ever but after that they just cannot reach the winner's podium!
🇩🇪 Germany either rocks it or...not. 1 Gold and 1 Bronze in 2 legendary team events but rock bottom at the others.
🇦🇹 Austria still searching for their Gold medal after 1 silver and 1 Bronze!
🇫🇷 France got the Gold medal they promised they would in 2018 and they will come back for more!
🏆 The Brotherhood without Banners team that is composed loosely from members of Nations that cannot field a team have had much success with a Gold and a Silver medal already!
🇪🇸 We all know Spain has great AGoT players and back at 2015 they almost did it. Germany took the Gold medal from them and left them with the Silver. But after that great run it seems they can't find their pace.
🇭🇺 Hungary is fighting in every match with everything they got and that shows in their overall standing but a single medal still eludes them.
🇸🇪The Swedes got the Gold medal in 2017 but it seems from there on that they can't field a team. We are worried about the Sweden delegation.
🇮🇹 Italy has a Bronze Medal to show off but we know that their worth is for something greater!
🇺🇸USA has 3 appearances and a Silver medal to show of. We are confident their name will be written in Gold soon!
🇫🇮 Finland and 🏴 Scotland started with bad performances but in the last 2 Team Events they participated they've shown their teeth! (And their Finland great Team shirts!)
🇱🇻 Latvia was a no show in the first Team events but boy that was about to change. They are one of the rising teams in this competition. Watch out for them in the near future!
🏆 Catalonia is permitted to compete from 2018 and they are trying their best to be in the TOP 8 teams!
🇷🇺 Russian Federation managed to get their first wins in the last Team Event and now they want more!
🇸🇰 Slovakia and 🇩🇰Denmark has 2 showings and they almost made it to the TOP 8 both times but they are not there yet!
🇱🇹 Lithuania, 🇳🇴Norway and 🇵🇹Portugal only have 1 showing in the Team event and it was a good one. We hope we see more of them in the future!
🇮🇪 Ireland managed in their solo appearance to grab the Bronze Medal. We need more Irish beer!! er... showings!
🇪🇪Estonia and 🇧🇪Belgium are still searching for their first win in the Team event. We hope that their time will come!
🇸🇬 Special mention to the Singapore team we all loved! We would love to have you again!
