PEGGY KAAS
At the age of 19, she decided that her small town in the south of Germany was not exciting enough and took off to Chicago with a one-way ticket in her pocket. 7 years later she had successfully finished her marketing studies at UCLA in California, gained experience in different marketing trainee jobs and returned back home to Germany to

start a new adventure. Peggy worked for almost 10 years at HP in various marketing positions. Having always been interested in new technologies and developments, an IT company was the perfect working environment for her. Following the birth of fraternal twins (a boy and a girl), she founded her own marketing communications and event agency. She successfully managed a profitable business even through the pregnancy and birth of her third child, her youngest daughter. In addition to her important roles as wife and mother, she grew her event business and continued working on her personal development. She completed various business coaching, personal coaching, training and consulting certifications over the years to stay at the forefront of ongoing developments, enabling her to help people and organizations effectively prepare for the future. In addition to fulfilling her role as managing director of her agency, she is a consultant for SMBs in the areas of brand positioning, optimization of business processes, digital transformation and agility, and is also a sales trainer. Today, she runs the agency together with her oldest daughter Stella in a 50/50 partnership and they opened a second event agency in Spain. Also in partnership with Stella, Peggy was able to kick-off her latest project - the co-creation and co-hosting of the Alphaweibchen Podcast. Peggy loves to travel – preferably in luxury conditions, but she has also recently started back-pack travelling with her son. She is totally crazy about her little Pomeranian Baby Blue, buys too many books and dreams of her own farm with horses, goats, sheep and white Silkies. JAIMI CYRUS

A successful business executive, intrepid adventurer and global citizen, Jaimi's enthusiasm and drive have taken her from the boardroom to the highest peaks on 4 continents and back into the classroom. Now a facilitator, speaker, personal trainer, and podcast creator, Jaimi combines her leadership experience with lessons from the extreme outdoors - moving beyond the comfort zone, persevering, and igniting team engagement - to compel and inspire people to work together, achieve goals and venture beyond their perceived potential to reach pinnacle performance. Jaimi spent 18 years at Hewlett-Packard in roles that include GM Printing Business Germany and VP Commercial Sales EMEA, she lectures on Intercultural Management at the Cooperative University in Stuttgart, is an ACE Certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer and the co-creator and co-host of the Alphaweibchen Podcast. In addition to mountaineering, she is an avid skier and has heli-skied remote parts of Kamchatka and Kashmir, is a certified PADI Rescue Diver with dives in the Blue Hole and the Panama Canal, and has jumped the world’s highest commercial bungee from the Bloukrans Bridge. A US citizen originally from the Pacific Northwest, Jaimi splits her time between her home near Stuttgart, Germany and her Finca in Mallorca, has a husband and son, and travels extensively - 75 countries visited so far.

So you didn't set any New Years Resolutions? Or you did, but wonder why because you usually don't fulfill them?
Goals are good! Having a goal helps direct our attention, so our thoughts and behaviors are focused on activities needed to move toward that goal.
They also help mobilize effort and bolster persistence: we’re willing to expend more energy doing the necessary things when we have a goal in sight. And they help us hold out for longer, continuing to perform the behaviors required - even when it’s difficult.
Peter Gollwitzer, a professor of psychology at New York University sums it up with saying:
"Specifying the how of reaching your goals makes people more likely to get started on time, stay on track in the face of distractions, and persist until the goal is attained.”
So do it: set your goals and then develop a concrete plan of how to achieve them! Listen in to yesterday's episode "New Year, Better You" for more advice on how!

Okay, we’re gonna say it. The idea of New Year, New You is bu****it. Even though that’s exactly what we titled our episode kicking off 2021, it’s the wrong idea. So we’re fixing the mishap this year and starting 2022 with New Year, Better You! Because we all should keep the great things about ourselves: everything that is good, strong, valuable, loveable, or inspiring about yourself is definitely worth keeping – and then build from there to become an even better version of yourself!
Whether you started the year with a slate of resolutions – or key intentions (and we talk about the difference in today’s episode) – or you’re still working on defining what you want to accomplish in the coming months, we’re sharing some insights to help. To help figure out what’s really important to you and set your goal, the importance of not just setting a goal but building a plan, and how cues & triggers are what really determine behavior (much more so than intentions!). Understanding the habit loop and applying how our brain works can help you hack your behavior and start consistently doing the things you know are important.
