Another win and we couldn't be happier. Here are some words by the captain Choudhury Asbha Alam after the Victory.

This was a complete team effort - dominant with both bat and ball, and a performance we can all be proud of. At the same time, we know there’s still room to improve, especially with our batting. Our top and middle order are getting starts, but now it’s time to convert those into big innings and take full control of matches.

That being said, coming back from 88/7 to post 261 was nothing short of outstanding. A massive shout out to Habib for that incredible innings under pressure. I’m glad I could support from the other end, and that 130-run partnership completely shifted the momentum back in our favor. That was the turning point, and it showed the fight and character this team has.

We carried that momentum straight into our bowling innings, and the result was pure dominance. Khani and Sharif gave us the perfect start, setting the tone early, and Saddam and Naim bhai finished the job clinically. This is exactly the kind of ruthless cricket we want to play.

But most importantly, our fielding was top class today. This is the standard Team Asperg should set every single game. The energy, commitment, and hunger on the field came from our own players, and that’s the benchmark we must maintain going forward.

Now it’s time to recover well, stay fit, and prepare for the next challenge. Let’s carry this momentum forward and keep building. Stay focused, stay humble, and keep working on our weaknesses.

BW United were invited to the ECS women in Krefeld - a triangular series with Western Warriors and DJK München Ost. In a round robin format, BW United finished top of the table with 5 wins out of 6.
The team comprising of players from Frankfurt & BW, had excellent all round contributions from all players. A few highlights - Hattrick by Karina, 3 wicket keepers (Jothi, Karthika & Anjuli), MVP performance by Shraddha.
The 6 matches comprised of 4 convincing wins, 1 loss and 1 last ball victory.
The team would like to thank all involved for a wonderful weekend of cricket.
The team carries the momentum forward into the last league matchday of the DCB Frauen Bundesliga on 2nd August against Frankfurt Furies at home in Feuerbach.

BW United Secure 10th Straight Win with Commanding All-Round Performance
Match 10: BW United vs RCC Women
Venue: Feuerbach
Toss: BW United won the toss and chose to bat first
Result: BW United won by 43 runs
Player of the Match: Uttunga Gopal Shinde

BW United batted first on a sunny afternoon, with openers Anjuli Ghosh and Manalli Shetty taking the crease. While Manalli was dismissed early by Radhika for 4, Anjuli settled in and played the anchor role. She was joined by Divya Kumari, and together they built a steady partnership, rotating the strike and keeping the scoreboard ticking.

Divya contributed a solid 29 from 50 balls before falling lbw to Hella, while Anjuli remained unbeaten on 27 off 59. Captain Anagha Venkatesh added a few runs in the final overs, helping the team reach 84/2 at the end of 20 overs. It was an innings focused on building partnerships rather than aggressive strokeplay.

BW United delivered a disciplined bowling performance right from the outset, defending their modest total with precision and control. Anshu Dhama set the tone early with a tight spell, conceding just 14 runs in her four overs. Uttunga Gopal Shinde backed that up with a sharp spell of her own, claiming 2 key wickets while giving away only 16 runs at a tidy economy of 4.00. Avani Prabhakar Shetty chipped in with a crucial breakthrough, while Kruthika Sen Aragam bowled a standout spell—conceding just 14 runs, including a maiden, and taking a wicket.

The support from the rest of the bowling unit was equally impactful. Manalli Shetty and Deeksh*tha V kept things tight in the middle overs, while Mirthila Sathish closed things out economically with just 3 runs in her single over. RCC Women struggled to build any momentum, finding it difficult to rotate strike or score boundaries consistently. With pressure mounting each over, BW United maintained their grip on the game and sealed their tenth consecutive victory with a confident all-round bowling display.

Venue: Sport Park, Feuerbach
Date: 12 July 2025
Result: BW United won by 72 runs
Player of the Match: Kruthika Sen Aragam

The opening match of the day saw BW United face off against RCC Women under clear, sunny skies at Sport Park, Feuerbach. BW United captain Anagha won the toss and chose to bat first — a decision that set the tone for a dominant performance.

BW United Innings
Openers Anjuli and Anagha provided a solid platform with a confident opening stand. Their partnership flourished, with Anagha contributing three stylish boundaries. The duo took the score to 124 by the end of the 17.6 over, losing one wicket. After Anagha’s dismissal, Divya came in and added to the momentum, guiding BW United to a respectable total of 137/2 in 20 overs.

RCC Women Innings
Chasing 138, RCC Women faced early pressure from BW United’s disciplined bowling attack. Openers Radhika and Kavitha struggled to find momentum and wickets fell at regular intervals. The RCC batting lineup was unable to build partnerships and were eventually bowled out for 65 in 19.3 overs.

BW United’s bowlers shared the spoils:

Kruthika Sen Aragam and Anshu picked up 2 wickets each.
Uttunga, Deeksh*ta, and Manali claimed 1 wicket apiece.
Kruthika Sen Aragam was named Player of the Match for her outstanding bowling performance and tight, match-defining spell that dismantled the opposition.

Match 8: Frankfurt Furies vs BW United | 📍Frankfurt

Result: BW United won by 35 runs

In the afternoon game, Frankfurt Furies won the toss and decided to bowl first. BW United got off to a stable start courtesy openers Manasi and Anjuli. Rameesha broke the partnership by getting Manasi out lbw. The incoming batters tried to score freely but also got out doing the same. By the 9th over, the team had already scored 70 runs but also lost 4 wickets. This again brought Anne and Anjuli together at the crease. Their partnership continued from where they left off, and took the team score to 150 by the 17th over. Anne scored her second consecutive fifty and helped set a target of 177 for Frankfurt Furies.

Once again, Swathi provided a good start by getting a wicket in her opening over. Frankfurt fought back through Rameesha, who scored a brilliant fifty to keep them in the game. In response, BW United tried to cut down the boundaries. This paid off as Deeksh*tha got Rameesha out on the boundary, assisted by Anshu with an excellent catch. BW United consolidated from here, with Frankfurt not able to score freely apart from the odd boundary. Frankfurt fell 35 short of the target and BW United got their 8th consecutive win in the league.

Frankfurt Furies’ captain, Rameesha was named the player of the match for her all-round performance of 4-0-29-2 with the ball and 52 runs with the bat.

BW-United continued their unbeaten run in the DCB T20 Women’s Bundesliga with a clinical 10-wicket victory over RCC Women at TG 1875 Darmstadt. Intermittent showers before kickoff left the outfield damp and the pitch slightly tacky, but play proceeded under overcast skies punctuated by brief sun breaks. Electing to bat after winning the toss, RCC Women struggled to find any rhythm against BW-United’s disciplined attack.

Early breakthroughs from Swathi Thiruppathi Kannan and Manasi Kasande set the tone: Swathi removed two top-order batters, ending with figures of 2 overs, 1 maidens, 4 runs, 2 wickets. Manasi matched her effort, chipping in with 2 overs, 1 maidens, 2 runs, 2 wickets, both bowling probing lines that forced early mistakes. As the scoreboard ticked slowly, wickets tumbled at regular intervals. The remaining four bowlers each chipped in with a solitary scalp, underlining the collective effort that bundled RCC Women out for 45 in 13.5 overs.

Despite lingering clouds and the occasional drizzle interrupting play, BW-United’s openers wasted no time in dismantling the modest target. Anjuli and Anagha raced to 48 without loss in just 8.5 overs, both paddling the ball into gaps and taking quick singles. Swathi’s searing spell and measured economy earned her the Player of the Match award, marking a personal milestone in BW-United’s dominant bowling display.
