Our team was founded In 2006. It all began with a small one-week camp and two training days a year in the ballpark of the Bonn Capitals (a major league German team). For the past three years, we have been offering a workshop called Winter Series, which is held in the last week of January. This is done in collaboration with the American baseball organization, UPI, and the German partner organizatio
n, SRSbaseball. Former major league players like Bryan Hickerson, Chris Singleton, Doug Henry and Tom Roy, along with current minor league players and Simon Guerhing (catcher of the German National Team) have been involved every year. We have about fourty members, and twenty of them are young t-ball players. With the older participants, we play softball because of the small outfield (130–150 feet). Last year, we built a sandlot on an old tennis court. However, our team has been attracting more and more kids, so the tennis court got too small for us. We had to move to a bigger one on a vacant meadow.
