P3 in class today keeps our Silver-Am title hopes in sight heading to Shanghai 🙌
Having said that, it was a tough one out there for race two in Beijing today.
Alex Jiatong Liang delivered a strong start but sadly, soon copped some contact from another car on the opening lap which would send us to the lane for repairs and put us a lap down on the rest of the field.
Never ones to give up, we rejoined and Alex put the hammer down to regain what ground he could, before Momo-Dean Chen took over for the second half, echoing Alex’s efforts to keep us in the mix.
Unfortunately, our bad luck kept coming, with Dean being hit by another car on a safety car restart in the same spot that we had repaired earlier, forcing us back to the pits.
At the end we still managed to grab a Silver-Am podium, but we are feeling pretty gutted with how things transpired – as yesterday showed, we had the car to fight for P1.
Still, we are so proud of Alex, Dean, and the entire team – they never gave up, and pushed right to the end.
Now – it is all eyes forward to Shanghai for the season finale.
