In a blockbuster move the Amsterdam Crusaders have managed to lure retired football player, and now director of the AFBN, Johan Oosterhuis back into playing for just another season of GridIron Football. The veteran player from Groningen Giants retired a couple of years ago to put his focus on national league related issues and to focus on grassroots football in the Lowlands. After two years of handling all affairs that were there to be resolved he is now ready to shred some Offensive Lines across the European Continent. When asked why he made the move to Dline ( after having played Oline for all his career in Groningen) he responded; “After a couple of years of peddling League related bu****it I just feel like I want to destroy some people !’
The Crusaders GM, René Barens, had the following to say about the surprise signing of the seasoned veteran; “Johan looks like the dominant force that can fortify the Crusaders’ defense going into the second half of our season. ‘I’ll be looking forward to seeing him anchor the defense of the Crusaders!” Giving some insights into the sturdy Dlineman’s skill set Barens added; “He is one of those players with illusive speed. He is a lot slower than he looks!”

Er komt naar alle waarschijnlijkheid geen vierde seizoen van de BNL Football League. Er wordt nog gekeken naar alternatieven. Wat er bij een opdoeking met Amsterdam Crusaders en Rotterdam Trojans gaat gebeuren is nog niet bekend.

Saturday is the BIG day.

BNL III

The 2024 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Who will lift the 🏆 trophy ?

Will it be the Rotterdam Trojans in their first year ?

Will it be the Amsterdam Crusaders for the ThreePeat ?

The venue for this epic clash will be the field of the Brussels Tigers.

Kickoff: 6 pm

Of course there will be our Live Stream through the BNL YouTube channel but nothing beats standing on the sideline to see all the action up close and personal.

It’s their first time around in the BNL Football League but the Rotterdam Trojans steam-rolled their way into the final and its ON at the 6th of July. Ending on top of the regular season rankings as the number #1 seed got them the direct ticket to the finals with some BYE weeks to prepare for the big battle. The battle for the trophy 🏆

BNL III is what is at stake.

Their opponent on the 6th will be the reigning and already back to back BNL Champions, the Amsterdam Crusaders. The Crusaders had a rollercoaster season with some early highs and some mid season lows losing to both Brussels Black Angels and to the Rotterdam Trojans at their Homefield in the beginning of May.

Because of the two losses the Crusaders ended up as the second seed and had to play the semi-final against the Brussels Black Angels. They won this bout and coming off this victory they will now meet the steaming hot Trojans on the Home field of the Brussels Tigers in Brussels, Evere.

The kickoff will be at 6 pm and the game will be Live Streamed, as you are used of the BNL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, through our BNL YouTube channel.

Who will WIN it all?

Is it going to be the surging Rotterdam Trojans in their first ever BNL Championship Game appearance or will it be the defending champions looking to add another ring in their quest for a Threepeat ? Two busses leaving Brussels. Which one will carry the trophy 🏆?

Come all to see it for yourself. With your own eyes. History in the making. It will all unfold on the Homefield of the Brussels Tigers.
