To all our Students, Friends and Volunteers.
It is with sorry to announce that we are closing the Dance4Water Prague.
This year we continue lacking conditions to resume the regular classes and we decided to transfer all the funds we had to kick off a season.
Since 2012…
- This project had the contribution of 74 volunteers that worked passionately to deliver the best lessons, and make charity fun.
- We organized one international 4water congress in Prague, and were in the process to organize the largest one to date (for 150 volunteers) until Covid forced the cancellation.
- We had many lessons with over 100 students attending, and, although it is impossible to say how many different students we had overall, it is likely measured in the thousands.
- We started teaching in a decommissioned caffeteria, and grew to compete in European Championship of Rueda de Casino (Stuttgart 2017) finishing in 5th out of 8.
- We had up to 4 dance styles, lessons 3 days a week, and cooperated with many various dance projects, events and venues.
- Our teachers delivered workshops as Dance4Water in Berlin, Copenhagen, Linz, Lyon, Glasgow and many cities in the Czech Republic.
- While doing this, we actively helped multiple ongoing WaterAid projects by raising money to allow access to water for communities in need.
Although Dance4Water Prague will not continue for now, it is a pleasure to see that our volunteers are still improving Prague dance community by sharing the passion in many ways.
You can still find many 4water projects around the world wide, supported by the friends you see in the picture of the international community.
In attachment we share the thank you letter from WaterAid, as well as the last donation certificate.
I personally thank you each and every volunteer, student and supporter that helped this project during all these years.
