The Ostrava Steel Hawks are proud to welcome Canadian goaltender Glen McInnes from Quinte West, Ontario, to our inaugural roster! 🥅🇨🇦

A dedicated competitor with an incredible work ethic, Glen has been chasing his hockey dream since he first put on the goalie pads at just six years old. His commitment to improving every day—both on and off the ice—makes him a perfect fit for the Steel Hawks family.

"I chose the Steel Hawks because it aligned with my ambitions—education and hockey. My goal is to play professional hockey while furthering my education at a highly respected university. The Ostrava Steel Hawks provide the tools and opportunities necessary to accomplish both goals in a competitive environment."

The Ostrava Steel Hawks are proud to announce the commitment of Jacob Medrzycki for the upcoming season. 🏒🔥

The 6’1” defenseman from Atlanta, Georgia joins Ostrava after playing with the Bremerton Sockeyes (USPHL Premier).

“I chose Ostrava because I wanted the opportunity to grow both as a hockey player and as a person,” said Medrzycki.

Director of Scouting Zac Pearson added:

The Ostrava Steel Hawks are proud to announce the commitment of Christopher Kobayashi to our program.

A 2005-born product of Hillsdale, New Jersey, Kobayashi joins us from MJDP (USPHL Premier) and brings a strong work ethic, versatility, and a team-first mindset.

“For me, Ostrava was the clear choice. The school offers exactly what I was looking for in both academics and hockey, which are both really important to me. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be there while I continue my education and develop my game in a strong environment.”

Director of Scouting Zac Pearson added:

🦅 Steel Hawks Staff in Europe 🦅

Our staff recently traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden 🇸🇪 to scout talent and build relationships in one of Europe’s top hockey markets.

We then returned to Ostrava to visit VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, touring dorms and continuing to build a complete player experience that combines high-level hockey + education.

This is just the beginning.

Ryan is a driven, team-first goalie who brings confidence, aggression, and a relentless compete level every time he steps on the ice. His work ethic and mindset make him a strong presence in the crease and a competitor who rises to the moment.

The Ostrava Steel Hawks are proud to announce the commitment of defenseman Heonwoo “Danny” Ro 🇰🇷

Danny brings strong international experience, having played in Denmark with Esbjerg 2 and most recently competing in both the NCDC and EHL. An offensive-minded defenseman, he excels at skating the puck, joining the rush, and creating scoring opportunities.
