A weekend of pure speed and tough lessons at the first FIA Academy Junior race in Genk. 🇧🇪
The pace was definitely there. Both boys were flying in the free practices, but a scorching hot track, heavily rubbered from the KZ classes, made qualifying a real struggle. That meant spending the rest of the weekend fighting through the pack.
Jindra Svoboda pushed incredibly hard in the heats to secure a P14 starting spot for the Final. Sadly, that massive effort took a toll on his tires, leaving him without the grip needed for the main event and crossing the line in P18.
Branislav Rentka faced a huge challenge after some bumper penalties pushed his Final starting position all the way down to P27. But he did not give up. He set the 4th fastest lap of the race and carved his way through the field up to P15. With a better starting spot, he had the clear speed to fight for a Top 10 finish.
We leave Genk knowing the speed is real. Time to regroup and prepare for the next round! 👊🏻
