Alumitec Racing has decided to pursue legal and administrative proceedings and to seek judicial intervention across multiple jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom and France, as well as before the relevant governmental and sporting authorities.

Prior to taking these steps, we sent seven formal notices to the promoter of the NASCAR Euro Series, formally raising our concerns and requesting that these matters be addressed. All seven legal notices went unanswered.

We formally notified the promoter, in writing, of the issues that we believe required resolution. Despite the proceedings now underway, we remain open to constructive discussions aimed at reaching a fair and transparent resolution, while protecting the integrity and future of the sport and respecting the fans who make it possible.

At Alumitec Racing, we remain fully committed to competing at the highest level. At the same time, we stand firmly by our belief that the NASCAR Euro Series should be governed by fair, transparent, and equitable practices for all competitors.

Given that legal, administrative, and sporting proceedings are now ongoing across multiple jurisdictions, Alumitec Racing will make no further public comments on these matters at this time, in order to respect and protect the integrity of the proceedings currently underway.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT | ALUMITEC RACING
Following the recent communication issued by NASCAR Euro Series, Alumitec Racing wishes to clarify that the legal and sporting situation remains unchanged.
The matter remains subject to ongoing proceedings before three separate sporting and legal bodies: the CNOSF, the FIA and the Administrative Court of Paris.
We consider the recent communication to be misleading and incomplete, as it fails to clearly disclose these ongoing proceedings and presents a contested situation as though it were definitively resolved.
Until the competent authorities and courts have rendered their final determinations, Alumitec Racing considers this matter ongoing and the consequences for the championship standings not definitively settled.
The team will continue to defend its rights through all appropriate sporting and judicial channels.
Alumitec Racing is also evaluating separate legal proceedings in the United Kingdom regarding the sale and supply of an allegedly defective engine.
Our position remains clear:

TO OUR DRIVERS

Beyond today’s Team Statement, we want to personally thank our three drivers, Gianmarco Ercoli, Raphaël Lessard and Nelson Piquet Jr., for their professionalism, commitment and trust throughout this difficult situation.

As a team, we also want to offer them a formal and sincere apology for the consequences they experienced on track.

It is important to make one point absolutely clear: the technical defect identified did not originate from Alumitec Racing or from the work of our team. The engine was supplied and prepared through the series promoter, which is the exclusive engine supplier for the championship.

The independent assessments confirmed the legality and conformity of the engine while identifying a preparation-related defect introduced during its assembly in Europe. Unfortunately, our drivers were ultimately the ones who suffered the consequences on track through lost performance, lost results and, in Gianmarco’s case, the opportunity to win at Brands Hatch while he was leading the race.

They deserved better.

We are now working extremely hard with everyone involved to strengthen quality-control procedures and raise preparation and reliability standards so that a situation like this is not repeated.

Our drivers put their trust in us every time they get behind the wheel, and our fans put their trust in Alumitec Racing every time we race. We take that responsibility extremely seriously.

To Gianmarco, Raphaël and Nelson: thank you for your trust, your patience and your commitment to Alumitec Racing.

And to our fans: thank you for standing behind us. We will work harder than ever stronger, more demanding and fully focused on one objective: winning this championship.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Alumitec Racing categorically rejects the allegations that it refused a technical inspection.

The statements and publications suggesting a “refusal of inspection” are false, inaccurate, and misleading. At no time did Alumitec Racing, Gianmarco Ercoli, Raphaël Lessard, or any authorized representative of the team refuse a technical inspection.

A formal request has been made to NASCAR Euro Series and Team FJ for the immediate correction of the facts and the withdrawal of any publication containing these inaccurate allegations.

Alumitec Racing has exercised its right of appeal and will submit its formal confirmation of appeal within the prescribed time limits. The appeal has been duly acknowledged, and the corresponding appeal documentation has been signed by the parties involved.

The engine in question remains available for an independent technical inspection under the supervision of all relevant authorities and experts. No official seal will be broken or altered pending the outcome of the appeal process.
