In today’s final we saw the team of Poland and Austria. As of the start it was Poland that had a bit more ball on their sticks. Austria was trying to answer their opponent‘s quick game pace but often was unable to come up with something. In the 38th minute it was Poland that managed to score. They added another one 5 minutes later. After that the game seemed leveled however Polish increased their lead by another goal to 0:3. The Austrians were trying to achieve at least one goal of honour which they managed 4 minutes before full time. Polish team has become the winner of the Eurohockey Championship II 2015.

In the first quarter we saw an active approach by the Czech team, but they were unable to score a goal. On the other side Scotland proved very productive when scoring twice out of a breakaway. The Czechs managed to hit the target in the 25th minute making it 1:2. Scotts were having none of that and increased their lead by another goal to 1:3. In the second half Scotland picked up higher pace and did not really let the Czechs into their dee. Scottish managed to score another 2 goals making the final score 1:5 and won the bronze medal in the tournament.

Second match of the day saw an uneven battle between Azerbaijan and Croatia. Azerbaijan had from the very beginning more ball possession and higher pace. Croatia did not really get upfront into the opponent’s circle. Azerbaijan managed to score with a beautiful short corner flick. They added another goal shortly afterwards. Right before the end of the first part Croatia found the net after a one off chance. In the second part the game leveled and Croatia came in strong. They managed to equalize the game to 2:2. Azerbaijan then answered with a good goal to 3:2 but Croatia again managed to find the net making it 3:3. In the very end Coatians pushed hard and scored a winning in the very last minute.
