⚓ CREW WANTED — AEGEAN REGATTA 2026 🇬🇷
Looking for 2–3 sailors to join me on what promises to be the sailing adventure of the year — a full round trip from Pafos, Cyprus to the 25th Aegean Regatta in Chios, Greece, and back.
🗺️ THE OUTBOUND PASSAGE (~500nm)
We leave Pafos at dawn and make our way northwest through some of the most spectacular waters in the Eastern Mediterranean:
📍 Kastellorizo — one of Greece's most remote and enchanting islands. Stern-to on the tiny quay, Blue Cave by dinghy, dinner under the stars.
📍 Rhodes — the magnificent UNESCO Old Town, the Palace of the Grand Masters, and one of the best-run marinas in the Aegean.
📍 Kos — ancient ruins, great food, a relaxed waterfront.
📍 Samos — quiet Pythagorean harbour and excellent tavernas.
📍 Limnia-Volissos, Chios — our finish line and the start of race week.
🏁 THE REGATTA
The 25th Aegean Regatta runs 21–28 August 2026, starting from Chios and racing through Fournoi and Agathonisi before finishing in Marathokampos, Samos. A milestone anniversary edition — not one to miss.
🔄 THE RETURN (~450nm, a different route)
We come home via Patmos (UNESCO World Heritage), Leros, the stunning fjord anchorage at Vathy in Kalymnos, back down to Rhodes, and then the overnight crossing home to Pafos.
Total distance: ~950nm. Total memories: priceless.
👤 WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
Sailors with some offshore experience who love the sea as much as they love a good meal ashore. You don't need to be a racer — you need to be reliable, good-humoured, and ready for an unforgettable few weeks in August.
