‘Everything we do before a pandemic will seem alarmist.
Everything we do after will seem inadequate’.

After careful consideration, and due to growing concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19), the extensive safety measures imposed by the government and the latest travelling restrictions as well as keeping in mind that the well-being of attendees, partners and staff is our highest priority, Cyprus Throwdown has decided that postponing the event is the only responsible course of action at this time.

Rescheduling the event will enable us to provide the experience that all of you expect and deserve in a safe environment. While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of everybody very seriously. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials.

Cyprus Throwdown Team Edition will now take place during Spring of 2021. All registrations will be honored for the rescheduled Spring dates and thus will automatically be applied to that event.
Athletes will be notified of the specific dates by January 2021 as well as how to obtain a refund if they are unable to attend.

Having spent the past year preparing for the Cyprus Throwdown 2020, we're genuinely upset and disappointed not to be able to host you at this time. We would like to express gratitude for your understanding, patience, and continued support and thank you for the open discussions and encouragement. As everyone has been reminding us, great things happen when the community comes together.

We hope the world will be able to take adequate action, and that the spread of the virus will soon be contained. Moving forward we’ll focus all of our efforts on making Cyprus Throwdown even better.

There will be two Masters Men and 2 Masters Women divisions:
MASTERS MEN 80 to 99
2 males - 20 spots available
cumulative age from 80 to 99 years old

MASTERS MEN 100+
2 males - 20 spots available
cumulative age over 100 years old

MASTERS WOMEN 80-99
2 females - 10 spots available
cumulative age from 80 to 99 years old

MASTERS WOMEN 100+
2 females - 10 spots available
cumulative age over 100 years old

Cumulative means the sum of both athletes ages. For example, a 47 years old athlete can pair with a 37 years old athlete and compete in Masters 80-99 since the sum of their age is 84.
