🌀 BERIMBOLO: 3 FINISHES FROM ONE ENTRY

Berimbolo isn’t just a flashy sweep — it’s an entry into multiple finishes. Knowing which one to take is what separates a hobbyist from someone who owns the position.

1️⃣ Back Take — the classic outcome. Hooks in, harness grip locked, working toward the choke. Most reliable finish when your back control is tight.

2️⃣ Cross Ankle Lock — mid-roll your opponent’s leg often gets exposed. Grab the far heel and transition straight into the ankle lock instead of continuing to the back.

3️⃣ Mount — if your opponent rolls the wrong way or resistance carries the movement further, you land in mount instead of the back — perfect for chaining into arm bars, kimuras, or chokes.

🔑 Berimbolo is a decision point, not one fixed technique. Reading the reaction and picking the right finish is real mastery of the position.
