Last weekend we held the final tournament of this school year. Almost 80 young players competed across 4 categories (U8, U10, U12, and Open). It was a true chess celebration: great games, supportive parents, and lots of prizes.

Special thanks to International School of Paphos (International School Of Paphos) for the wonderful venue and to White King (.king.224) for the great partnership. Together we made this tournament unforgettable.

Congratulations to everyone who came to play and fought until the last move! Even if you didn't make it to the podium - you took a big step forward. We are proud of each of you ❤️

Summer Chess and STEM Camp

Location: Marina Cherkasova Chess Academy
Ages: 7-12
Languages: Russian and English.

Program: Chess, STEM Young Engineers (twice a week), fun math, board games, educational presentations and activities, playground time, Friday pizza, award ceremony, and a «shop» where kids exchange earned «figuriks» (internal chess currency) for prizes.

Сhess: 2-3 groups by level (Advanced, Intermediate, Beginners).

Food included: Snacks (fruit, crackers) and one meal (homemade sandwiches, hot ham & cheese toasts, pizza on Fridays, and ice cream once a week).

Price: 200 euros per week.
Discounts:
1) 10% off if you pay for 4 or more weeks at one time.
2) 15% off for a second child.

On June 7, the 2nd leg of the Cyprus Grand Prix finished in Paphos. It was a great weekend full of chess, emotions, and fair play. Everything went smoothly: all rounds started on time, no delays, a friendly and competitive atmosphere.

In our Classical Tournaments we use Categories system, where children play according to their level, not to their age.
It gives chances to compete for prizes and achievements for children who start playing chess not at the early age. And also gives good experience for little children to fight against older players.
And it prepares children to the rating system. So they see that age is not the main factor in chess. Their level of playing is more important.
Also it helps us to award more children, not just top 3 winners.
