Super week for Andreas Leontis at U12 Category 1 in Queenswood, England.

Andreas was the winner in both singles and doubles with Philip Neuez. In the singles final he defeated his partner, Philip, after a 3:15 hours battle 7-5, 6-7, 6-2. His semi-final and quarter-final matches were also very tough against very strong opponents from France and England.

This is the second singles title this year at a Category 1 event, guaranteeing Andreas’ participation at the year-end Carlos Moya U12 Tennis Festival at the famous Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.

Andreas remains undefeated this year in Tennis Europe U12 singles tournaments with 4 titles.

Another Tennis Europe title for Yiannis

Yiannis Leontis won his 3rd consecutive Tennis Europe U14 Cat. 3 title last week at Max Tennis Academy in Nicosia.

He was very cosnistent throughout the week winning all his 5 matches in straight sets.

Yiannis Leontis continued his winning streak last week, as he captured his second back-to back-title. He won the singles title at the Aphrodite Hills U14 Cat. 3 Tennis Europe event.

Yiannis Leontis had an impressive run last week at the Eleon U14 Cat. 3 Tennis Europe event, where he won the singles title.

Yiannis won all his 5 singles matches without dropping a set. This was Yiannis’ first singles title this year.

First Category 1 title for Andreas Leontis

Our Andreas Leontis achieved the greatest result of his young career. This week in Romania, he won the singles title at the Tennis Europe U12 Category 1 Daimon Cup in Bucharest.

It was his first Category 1 title and the first of a Cypriot player for many years. Andreas was in great form in all his 5 singles matches, winning the title in style.

In a very closely contested final, he beat Rouan Coman from Romania 7-6 (6) 6-4 after a 2:45 hours match.

Now Andreas is very likely to be invited by Tennis Europe to the end of the year Carlos Moya 12 & Under Festival at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

Impressive performance by Andreas at IMG Future Stars

Andreas Leontis of PAM Pharm Approach Academy participated at the prestigious IMG Future Stars U12 Tournament, which took place this week at the Tatoi Club in Athens.

The tournament featured 24 of the best boys and 24 girls U12 players in the world. Andreas managed to finish first in his round robin group, to become the first ever Cypriot player to reach the last 8, where he was eventually eliminated. He played some fantastic tennis in all 4 matches he gave.

More importantly, he was also able to attend some unique workshops aimed to prepare young players for the pro tour. There were, among others, Q&A
sessions with 2-time Grand Slam finalist Amanda Anisimova and Judy Murray, the morher of Andy and Jamie Murray.

Our young champions Andreas Leontis & Yiannis Leontis had an smazing run in the past 3 weeks winning Tennis Europe titles.

Andreas won both Tennis Europe U12 closed events held in Cyprus, at Baghdatis Tennis Academy and Herodotou Tennis Academy. He won singles and doubles (partnering with Andreas Grigoriou) in both events. He also went on to win the National G1 U14 Famagusta singles tournament last week.

Yiannis was runner-up in singles at the two Tennis Europe U16 closed events at Herodotou Tennis Academy and Masters Tennis Academy. He won the doubles title at Herodotou Academy with Athos Karakatsianis, while he was runner up at Masters, partnering with Alex Christodoulou.

Yiannis is at Maia, Portugal this week participating at the U14 Super Category event, while Andreas is preparing for the IMG Future Stars U12 event that will take place next week in Athens.
