𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻!

Last weekend saw the 4th round of the 2026 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕.
On Sunday afternoon, the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗨𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 matches—which had been cancelled on March 15 due to unsafe weather conditions—were also rescheduled.
LyTox participated in these competitions with 8 athletes, who collectively won 𝟳 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀.
Noteworthy are the performances of 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗔 (StartUp Cat WR U18) and 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 (A-Cat WR U15).
Charikleia improved her best score from 670 points two weeks ago to 675 points (of the possible max 720) last weekend.
Chara fought her way from a 4th-place ranking in the preliminary round to the battle for bronze. After 5 sets in that final, the set points were evenly split, and the winner of the match would be determined by each archer shooting one arrow. The arrow with the shortest-distance-to-the-center of the target is declared the winner of the match. Chara's arrow hit a '9' and was the closest!

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗸𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘂'𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝘂𝘁
Saturday, April 25, LyTox athletes took part in the second leg of the Archery Championships 2026, competing in the Development categories: Akademies (U14) and StartUp (14+).
In the afternoon, the Akademies category featured 62 athletes across 9 different categories. The participants enjoyed sunny weather, and each shot 72 arrows.

Among the competitors was a very young LyTox athlete, Panagiota Alkiviadou, who made her first appearance in an archery competition.
At just 9 years old, Panagiota started learning archery during the weekly open school sessions at Lythrodontas Primary School. (Lythrodontas Archery Classes - Λυθροδόντας Μαθήματα Τοξοβολίας)
Her dedication and evident potential led to an invitation to join the LyTox Archery Club, where she received more specific training.
Since the beginning of March, she has attended club practices twice a week to prepare for the Pancypriot competition, culminating in her debut at the federal archery venue in Lefkosia. In her age category (U10), the shooting distance is 12 meters.
𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
It was natural for Pangiota to experience some beginner's anxiety and not start in her best form.
However, her initial round of 6x6 arrows resulted in a solid score of 314, placing her third in her age group.
In the second half of the match (another 6x6 arrows), she achieved the highest score in her group, scoring 324 points, bringing her total to 638 points and earning her a silver medal, trailing the gold winner with just 5 points.

The next match will be in September, after the summer, giving time to practice.

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗨𝟭𝟴: 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
In the Recurve Boys U18 category, Andreas Apostolou started strong in the first half (6x6 arrows) with a personal best score of 309 out of a possible 360, placing him third in his age group. He scored 296 in the second half, bringing his total to an impressive 605 points and securing him the bronze medal.

This time, however, in the category StartUp, around 33 athletes across 9 categories enjoyed sunny conditions and shot a total of 72 arrows each.
Among these competitors were two young LyTox athletes, both eager to demonstrate the progress they had made since their previous match 12 months ago.

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗨𝟭𝟴: 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
In the Recurve Girls U18 category (30m), Charikleia Pittara delivered an outstanding performance with an opening score of 342 out of a possible maximum 360. Although she was unable to maintain the same pace in the second half, she achieved a clean 328, resulting in a remarkable final total of 𝟲𝟳𝟬 points. Her efforts earned her the gold medal in her category.
