Exceptional results for the IronFX Racing Team at the 2017 Cyprus National Championship

We are proud to announce that the IronFX Sailing Team has finished first in the second leg of the 2017 Cyprus Sailing Championship securing an overall first place in the Championship.

Following the success at the 2017 ORC World Championship where the team achieved first place in the amateur classification of the Offshore Race, the IronFX Racing Team continues to match continuous performance improvement with impeccable results.

The IronFX Racing Team participated in the 2017 Cyprus National Championship with the IronFX yacht, a Farr 45 Class yacht designed by Bruce Farr. The team was captained by Nicolas Epiphaniou and crewed by Markos Kashiouris, Loukia Kanarini, Daphne Frangoudis, Vyron Christoforou, Stelios Mabrouk, Andreas Milidonis, Roys Neophytou, Giorgos Savvides, Sakis Dionysiou, Adam Vlachos, Alexandros Adamides and Michel Fialas.

The participation at the World Championship is part of a series of charitable initiatives that IronFX performed since its inception, encompassing education, sports, and general social welfare. IronFX will continue to support a wide range of charitable causes in the future.

DAY 3 of the 2017 ORC World Championship: very competitive day with 2 Inshore Races back to back. Finishing 13th and 14th within the multi-million dollar professional crews, finishing 4th and 5th within the amateur Corinthian class.

Overall Results after the first 4 races declare IronFX 12th in the professional class and 3rd in the Corinthian class.

An amazing effort by our small amateur team at the 2017 ORC World Sailing Championship, against the multi-million dollar professional teams and, against all odds.

What we have proven is that when you put your mind into something and work hard, a good result is within reach. Nothing is impossible with the right attitude.

An what a result this has been for Team IronFX and Team Cyprus... From joint 1st in the Corinthian class for the Offshore Races to an overall 5th in the Corinthian class and 14th in the Professional class as a final classification.

Special thanks to Nicolas Epiphaniou for managing the team, to Michel Fialas and Sakis Dionisiou for the arduous task of delivering the boat to Trieste and bringing it back home.
