Not quite, but I’ll take it. 😂

If you’re looking for a personal experience on one of the best wrecks in the world, you’re in the right place. Not a big dive centre with a fleet of boats and a name everyone recognises, just me, the Zenobia, and years of getting to know her properly.

That’s the difference really. Big operators run big groups, seasonal staff, and a route everyone gets taken on whether they want it or not. I run small groups, built around you, guided by someone who actually lives here and dives this wreck year round, not just for a summer. Experience over establishment, every time.

You don’t need the biggest name in Larnaca to have the best dive of your life. You just need someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing and cares whether you enjoy it. 🤙🏽

“Bigger group, same price, less dive.” 😅

If this year’s shown me one thing though, it’s the value of doing things properly.

My maximum group size is 4. Maximum 2 smaller groups, 1 to 1, 2 to 1, 2 to 2. The ratios change, but the rule never does. That’s for comfort and safety, not for show.

Could I pile more people in? Sure. Sometimes you’d get exactly the same experience. Sometimes someone’s dive gets quietly compromised and nobody says anything. I see guides taking groups of 8, 10 down onto the Zenobia and just think, glad I left that behind. 😅

That’s what it comes down to for me. What I say I do is what I actually do. No false promises online just to get you booked in. You’re welcome to dive with whoever you want, that’s genuinely fine by me. But when you realise bigger isn’t always better, I’m here. 🙏🏼

Some things were just built to last, and this is one of them. Decades underwater and she’s still holding her shape, still holding her secrets. 🤫

The Zenobia has over a hundred trucks on board, and even more secrets than that, and I want to show them to you. 🚛

I’ve spent years on this wreck, and that’s what you get diving with me. Not a new guide finding their feet, someone who knows this wreck inside out. Thousands of dives on her, and I still learn something new every time I go down. I’m not seasonal, I’m not here for a summer and gone by October, this is what I do, full time, all year round. Air pocket at 32 metres! 💀

I love things like this. Getting deep into a wreck and finding the original paint, untouched. A hidden pocket that’s still sat in factory settings, like time genuinely forgot about it.🫣

These are the things you miss with seasonal guides on autopilot. The Zenobia is good whoever you dive her with, let’s be honest, not many people come back unhappy. But good and great are two different things, and that gap comes down to who’s guiding you. The right guide is the difference between seeing a wreck and actually knowing her.😎

Kicking’s overrated! 🤿

With 172 metres of shipwreck to see just on the outside, sometimes a motor is your friend.

Why tire yourself out finning the whole length of her when you could be actually looking at what’s around you? A DPV means more time enjoying the wreck and less time turning your legs into jelly. Bow to stern, no rush, no burn. 😎

And that’s the thing about diving with me. Small groups, your pace, whether that’s finning every metre yourself or letting a motor do the work. It’s your dive, built around how you actually want to see her, not some fixed route everyone gets marched through.

Sometimes the smartest move underwater is knowing when not to work so hard.

The Engine Room! 😎

It doesn’t take much for someone to guide you round the outside of a wreck, or even some of the simpler penetrations on the Zenobia. Plenty of places can do that.

But if you’re after more than “the wreck specialist centre” with seasonal staff who change every summer, and you want a guide who can actually show you the bits most people never get to see, you’re in the right place. 🤿

Just planning one day? Amazing, I’ll still show you a great time. But day 2, day 3, that’s where it starts getting interesting. Put in a little more time with me and you’ll build your way to the legendary engine room. The pinnacle for any wreck diver. ⚙️

Nothing handed to you. Nothing rushed. Just proper progression, dive by dive, working through her the right way until you’re floating in a room most divers only ever hear about, let alone see for themselves. Think you’ve seen it all? 🤔

Keep going back to the same shop out of blind loyalty? It’s natural, fair enough. We all like what we know, and there’s comfort in familiar faces. But is it actually in your best interest, or is it just easier?

Same shop, different instructor again. Mixed group, again. Whoever’s free that day, running the exact same route they run every single day, rain or shine, whoever’s on the boat. That’s not a dive built for you. That’s a slot filled 😅

And look, I get it. Change is uncomfortable. But sometimes pulling off the plaster and trying something different is the best decision you make all season.

Any shop can slap “the best” or “the go-to Zenobia guys” on their website. Words are free. But here’s the actual question worth asking. How do you pass on years of hard-earned wreck knowledge to staff who are only there for a season? You don’t. You can’t. It’s not a training manual thing, it’s a time thing, and time is the one thing seasonal staff never get 🤿

I don’t have that problem. There’s no rotation, no handover, no “new guy learning the wreck this year.” I am the staff. Every dive, every time, it’s me and my experience, not whoever clocked in that morning 💪🏽

Why does your guide actually matter on the Zenobia? 🤔

I’m not just a guide. It’s logistics, safety, experience, video, speed, comfort, communication. That stuff isn’t something you can teach in a course. It’s built dive by dive, over years, not weekends 🤿

Is your guide rushing you through, just as nervous as you are? Hitting the checkboxes, moving fast because there’s a group behind and a schedule to keep, and you’re burning through your gas before you’ve even seen the good bits? That’s not a dive. That’s a tour with a time limit ⏱️

You end up back on the boat wondering what you actually paid for 😅

Here’s the bit nobody tells you. A lot of guides on this wreck are seasonal. Here for a summer, gone by autumn, learning the route the same season you’re diving it. Nice enough people, but they’re figuring it out right alongside you 🤔

Experience over establishment. That’s the difference. Knowing when to slow down. Reading your breathing before you even notice it yourself. Positioning you for the shot without you having to think about it. None of that is luck. It’s thousands of dives on this wreck, not a script read off a slate 💪🏽

Your guide isn’t a formality. On a wreck this size, at this depth, they’re the whole experience 🌊
