My new book is out next week in the UK. 52 Assignments Underwater Photography is a different kind of book, helping you develop your UW photo skills through challenges and exercises. Each assignment is fun and should yield memorable shots. Also, I carefully chose them to teach you different, important skills, from techniques to novel ways of thinking about your images. The specific focus of each assignment will help you think differently about your photography and create new images.
Snell’s Window is the focus of Assignment 20. This photo shows a cooter, a freshwater turtle, swimming beneath the trees in a spring in Florida, USA. Taken with Nikon D5 and 28-70mm with Nauticam WACP-1, Subal housing, Inon flashes, 1/200 @ f/18, ISO 1250.
