It was a tough day for the Graphite boys on Saturday at Ferry Meadows for the new Feedermasters Team Classic.

The draw wasnt particularly kind, but we felt if the venue fished how it did three days earlier when we were there for the last match before this quaifier, we would have a chance IF we could nick a fish in one of our harder pegs, because our two “good pegs” while still in tricky areas, should have given us a chance of decent points in those zones.

Unfortunately as it was on the day, things have changed and those two pegs have actually been in very poor areas, with Brad and Danny despite their best efforts both blanking 😢

We had a team plan to catch fish in the tougher areas and this has worked for Matt and Steve who both caught, but because those pegs as expected were at the wrong ends of their zones they were never going to be enough to carry blanks, meaning we are eliminated at the first hurdle 😔

We are gutted obviously, but these things happen in team fishing, especially at this level where the best of the best are competing, its a case of dusting ourselves down and focusing now on the Feeder National events that are taking place later this year.

Congrats to the teams that made it through and commiserations to the other teams who didnt, including some other superleague ever presents, this format has definitely shaken things up a bit and its great to see the buzz around the competition 👏🏆

Tomorrow sees the start of a brand new event for this year, replacing the old superleague its the Bait-Tech Feedermasters Team Classic.

Unlike previous years this time its a knockout event, meaning theres no room for error as out of the 15 teams in tomorrows qualifier only 8 will advance to the next round! 😬

Ferry Meadows is the venue and its a funny old place at the minute so fingers crossed for a good selection of pegs, good luck to all teams competing, we are going to need it🤞🤞

So the Big Weekend is upon us.

We have an incredible line up of feeder anglers, all nervously waiting for the tip to go round, then that ‘thud thud’ on the rod of a huge bream.

Land it, you’re a hero!

Lose it…… 😳

Who will keep their cool, will there be any upsets.

With some of the greatest feeder anglers on the PLANET blanking at times on this venue. Who would bet against any team making it through to round 2!!!

Let’s look at the line ups…..
Who do you think will be safely through!??

Day 1

Graphite Feeder Team

Matt Wright
Danny Wilson
Brad Smith
Steve Thornhill

So good, we’ve added them on late not to scare everyone else!!!
A team that has donned the world stage in recent times. Dangerous on all venues, and that’s not just their casting!

Team short Chuck
Gav Smith
Jack Tansley
Nick Askey
John Reay

This team suggests this team won’t be going long distance! Will it pay off, or is it a double bluff!?!

The Bream Fathers:
Richard Hurdman
Tibor Krausz
Daniel Gazsi
Laszlo Potrak

A team with an international flavour, can these guys make their style count??

Team Methodology:
Andy zneimer
Adrian Constantin
Darren west
Matt Cole

As the name suggests, they may not be using many traditional feeder tactics?!?

Golden Oldies:
Mark Harris
Gordon Simm
Daz Renshaw
Chris Stephens

If patience is the key, these ‘Old timers’ will be the calmest on the bank!

WMP Maver
Andrew Cleaver
Phil Croxford
Mark Jones
Eric Passey

No one really knows what WMP is….
Worms, Maggots, Pellets???

Daiwa Freestylers
Marian Buzatu
Gavin wright
Joe ‘from barrow’ Jaggar
Pemb Wrighting

England Method experts, Romanian super stars, and Gav!
This team fancies their chances at a run to the final!

Feeder Club LT
Karolis Stankunas
Ricky Cook
Aurimas Jankauskas
Lukas Sabaliauskas

A team of Lithuanian Feeder anglers (and Ricky!) who take their fishing very seriously.
They will be well up for the fight.

Sensas Hotrods
Steve Welford
Liam Darler
Ash Welford
James Collison

This team has a father and son duo in the Welfords, and being local lads, surely they will cruise through……… No pressure lads:

The Romanians
Florin Frunza
Bogdan Mester
Atilla Cherim
Mihail Burdia

More than at home fishing in England, these guys know the circuit and will be a big danger!

NuFish North
Wayne Bart
Steve Whitfield
Jake Dye
Sam Collett

The Reigning CHAMPS of the Super League, can they bring that form to the Team Classic?
They are so confident, their star man (Rich Wilson) is having a break in rd 1!!!

Feeder Masters FT
Mick Vials
Lee Kerry
Will Freeman
Michael Buchwalder

In fine form, with 3 of the team blanking on the practice match. Underdogs?? or keeping secrets.
You decide!

Tough at the Top
Alex Walker
Matt Snodin
Paul Twigg
Andy Fullylove

A team on form with 100lb catches and festival wins. Favourites????
But Ferry respects no one!!!

Langold Lakers

Matt Wareing

These lads know tough fishing, they are from Langold after all…
A team confident they can make a good run in the event.

Dynamite Derby
Steve Renshaw.
Lee richmond.

Experience, guile, wisdom….
This team has it all.
But can they bring it together at the Thearte of Breams????

Day 2:

Team Garbolino
Pete black
Richie Hull
Robert brennan
Matt Ellson

Fish O champions, England Masters anglers and management, this team are winners!
They have come late to the party, but will be a force in the competition!

Bag Em Match Baits FT
Paul Banks
Graeme dawes
Anthony Johnson
Dave Rose

Some of the North Wests finest making their way down to the East, will their bream skills work ‘darn south!’???

Aquastim Southfield
Steve Richardson
Tim Golby
Richard Jacklin
Rob Thompson

Another team of bream experts, they know patience will be key.
They are used to Southfield after all!?! 🤣

Castaways
Sean Kelly
Steve Wroe
Grant Howie
Ben Lawrence

The name of this team asks the question, have they come together by chance, or are they determined to make a statement?
Either way, a bunch of fine anglers and men!

Parr rod
Brian cain
Brian Cross
Mick burkill
Micky lever

A team always looking to make their mark at Feeder Masters. It’s eluded them in the past, is this their moment???

Tight Lines R us
Leigh Bembrick

David Wood.
Craig Tidswell

A team of BIG names.
Can they back it up with a BIG performance.
These guys eat pressure for breakfast!

Welsh Dragons
Mark Sweeney
Mark Jones
Adam Toomey
Daniel Baker

Coming from Wales, these guys are showing the ultimate commitment.
Will it be rewarded, or a long drive home???

Drennan Barnsley Blacks
Oliver Scotthorne
Mac Stephens
Eddie Bridon
Tom Noton

A team name that could carry heavy on some shoulder! Not these men tho!! They’ve put the time in, and have been a danger in recent years as runners up last year!
Can they go one better this year?

Ringer Baits
Phil Ringer
Steve Ringer
Rob Wootton
Adam Wakelin

Always the bookies favourite with an incredible reputation in Feeder Team fishing.
Ferry hasn’t been kind to them all in the build up tho.
Surely they will still see the path through to rd 2 tho???

Mainline Match
Darren Cox
Simon Fry
Gaz Lambert
Dean Barlow

A team of legends! With experience an angling pedigree in abundance, this team will surely hold their nerve even in the toughest of circumstances?

Team MKM
Dave Warren
Grant Merrett
Dave Binns
Craig Whittaker

A team that gets stronger every year, with more and more time on the bank, this team has ambitions beyond rd1, can they navigate there way to Barston?

Feederland Nomads
Dave Berry
Fabian Arpad
Zac Williams
Jamie Granger

A team on paper that should rival even the very best. If they can put it all together they will be very dangerous in this new format!

Bait-Tech Maver P&DAA
Steven Goodrum
Pete Mcfadyen
Steve Spooner
Dan Abbott

The locals! These guys know every fish by name, and how and when it’s all going to happen.
Well, maybe!

Sly Maver Mk.
Phil Whittal.
Ian smith.
Pete Patton.
Simon Jarrard.

Our final team, but very unlikely to be at the bottom this weekend.
Experience a plenty and a knack of finding that bonus fish.
An exciting year for this team.

With the feeder season now in full flow its time for a bit of a team update!

Its been a great weekend for the Graphite boys down at the fantastic Ferry Meadows, starting with Matt Wright Angling winning the match on Saturday and qualifying for the Bait-Tech Feedermasters Final, followed by Danny Wilson also winning the match on Sunday and qualifying for the Ferry Feeder Cup Final, golden tickets all round! 🥳🙌🎫

Hopefully the lads can continue the good run of form at Ferry as the first round of the new Feedermaster Team Classic starts on there in just two weeks time!

After a long drive back across Europe we finally made it home yesterday afternoon, what an adventure thats been.

Just want to say a few final thanks to every single one of you whos supported us, from people buying squares on the football card, to the people who bought tickets for the Nufish raffle, to individuals who sent donations or helped with gear, to the companies below who helped us out with the kits, bait, transport and eveything in between.

It was a massive effort to get over there and compete and without everyones help we couldnt have done it.

Finally to everyone we met along the way it was a pleasure, and to everyone who sent messages of support and encouragement it meant so much.

Thankyou to you all, from us all at The Graphite Feeder Team.

Sorry for the late update, been at the presentation and closing ceremony, congratulations to Walterland Hungary on an amazing performance, the Hungarians definitely had the venue tapped between them as their 1st and 2nd place finish shows 👏👏

Another disappointing day for us, weve had to gamble a bit after yesterday and its not happened, had a couple of good results again and a few bad ones, leaving us in 24th place out of the 32 teams.

Steve A18 - 4pts
Brad B13 - 16pts
Sean C19 - 16pts
Joe D13 - 11pts
Matt E28 - 5pts

Yes its been an amazing experience and its an achievement getting here but the reality is we havnt been good enough. You dont come to make up the numbers and although we felt we had a pretty good team plan, we obviously havnt executed it well enough across the two days.

That reality aside, it has been an amazing week, in a brilliant country with great people and so many laughs along the way. Made a lot of new friends and learned so much, absolute trip of a lifetime.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who has followed the journey, the support had been amazing and its kept us going when things gpt hard.

Will do a full write up when we get home but for now, Hvala Serbia! 🇷🇸

Well, not much to say other than we are massively disappointed with todays result. Thought the draw was pretty decent, but we just havnt managed to get the most out of it 😢

As always in a two day points competition the goal is to still be in with a chance going into day two, and with 16 peg zones youve got to avoid the big numbers and we havnt.

Matt - A30 - 5pts
Joe - B5 - 4pts
Sean - C22 - 16pts
Steve - D16 - 15pts
Brad - E10 - 8pts

48 points puts us 22nd out of 32 teams overall after day 1, and playing for pride tomorrow. Hungary have demolished the day with their two teams 1st and 2nd, just awesome 👏👏

Thanks for all the messages, havnt had time to reply to them all but we appreciate them

Well that's it, we are underway here in Serbia!

10/10/2025

Well thats the last day of training finished and Ive got to say its probably been our best day, not necessarily weight wise but just as a team, we have done what we needed to and learned exactly what we needed to learn. Everyone has caught some fish again and we are as ready as we can be for the start of the competition tomorrow.

The draw is going to be massive, as there are areas in each section where there are just more resident fish, so fingers crossed we get half a chance as I think if we do we have the tactics to give a good account of ourselves.

We know which section we are all going to, just some last minute prep to sort now. We will update you tomorrow night when we get some results. Thanks again for all the support, the build up is done, tomorrow its time to see what we can do 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

09/10/2025

Well we’ve had a battering by the wind today, as bad as we’ve ever fished in, but its not going to improve much for the weekend so its been good to experience it and everyones caught some fish.

Last day of training tomorrow and we have something approaching a plan so hopefully we have a good end to the week.

As always video doesnt do it justice 🌊🌊

💨💨💨

Start of Day 4 sees the lads down in box 12. On what is forecasted to be a very windy day.

Spirits are still high as we head towards the main event at the weekend.
