Behind the scenes of another engine heavy maintenance task, this time on a Williams FJ44-1A.

Our engine team recently completed a carbon seal replacement on the No. 1 bearing, located in the cold section at the front of the engine.

To reach it, our technicians removed the engine components layer by layer. Disassembly and reassembly required specialized tooling and hydraulic pumps operating at pressures of up to 4,500 psi.

After two days of work, the engine underwent a run-up and high-power check before the aircraft was returned to its owner.

Prince Aviation is proud to be one of only two Premium Williams International service centers in Europe authorized to perform this specialized task.
