EVERY TEAM. EVERY GAME. THEIR NATIONAL ANTHEM.
Representing your country is one of the greatest honours in international sport.
And there is a moment, just before competition begins, when that responsibility, pride and emotion come together: hearing your national anthem alongside your teammates.
As part of the IBSA Goalball Game Experience (GEX), the national anthems of the two participating teams will be played before every game at IBSA Goalball competitions.
The new GEX framework places national anthems alongside the march-in and team presentation as key moments of the official pre-game protocol.
Because some moments cannot be measured only in minutes.
The pride of an athlete hearing the anthem of their country before representing their nation will not be silenced by scheduling considerations.
We respect the schedule.
We respect the competition.
And above all, we respect the athletes and teams who step onto the court carrying the colours of their countries.
Every team. Every game. Their national anthem.
Pride has its moment. And that moment will be respected.
