This year, for the holidays, our club decided to mix things up with a “Young & Wiser” tournament. Younger players were paired with partners with a few more years, and teams were matched by similar skill levels.

Seeing our “young” and “wiser” players sharing the courts was incredibly special. Throughout the day, the courts were filled with smiles, laughter, encouragement, and the genuine camaraderie that makes this club such a special community. One particularly meaningful moment was watching a young player light up while receiving a gold medal—a beautiful reminder that the next generation is already stepping onto the courts and carrying the spirit of our club forward.

Another fantastic pickleball tournament this past weekend at Pura Pickleball in Jaco! As always, it's great to see some familiar faces, catch up, and also make new friends 💕 Several players from our area went and advanced even through tough competition. Congrats to all players!

Also this weekend, the pickleball club in Atenas hosted its monthly Glow Pickleball event. What a nicely organized, super fun event! If you get the chance to go, for sure do it! It's the last Saturday of every month. What a fantastic time with wonderful players from all around the country.

It was a great pickleball weekend. The weekend started off with highly attended tournament at Volea in Escazu. The finals were Sunday and Marvin made the Shack proud with taking 2nd in Mixed A as well as 2nd in Men's A. Congrats Marvin on a job well done!! 💪

🎾 Another Successful Shack Tournament in the Books! 🎾

What an incredible weekend of pickleball! 🏓

We kicked things off Friday with a fun Player Reception at Lake Arenal Hotel & Brewery 🍻 — the perfect chance to reconnect with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. The evening wrapped up with a lively raffle 🎟️ sponsored by IRES, PickleUp.cr, and Selkirk.

Over the weekend, 70 players competed across 8 divisions, including our newly added Senior Division — giving even more players the opportunity to compete at their best level.
From paddle taps after hard-fought rallies to cheers from the sidelines, the weekend was filled with outstanding sportsmanship and genuine camaraderie 🤝. The positive energy was contagious!
