Choco being interviewed on national TV 🇨🇷
Recently, Choco from Choco’s Surf School in Sámara was interviewed for Costa Rican national television about the important role that surfing plays in our tourism industry.
🏄♂️ Surf tourism has a huge impact on coastal communities, supporting hotels, restaurants, surf schools, tours, and many local businesses. In fact, surfing represents around 60% of the tourist clients for many businesses in coastal destinations.
As a local surf instructor and longtime member of the Sámara community, Choco shared his perspective on why surf tourism is so important for our local economy — and why protecting and promoting our beaches and surf culture matters.
