Dear Christians,
If Revelation is complete and God no longer involves Himself in the affairs of men, then how will the prophecies in Revelation actually become fulfilled?
How can there be two prophets that appear and are slain on the streets of Jerusalem if no more prophets are ever to come? 🤔 And we know they are not to be “false” prophets, because they are to be resurrected in three days and ascend into heaven! Sure sounds like real prophets to me…
Additionally, Revelation 7 speaks of the sealing of 144,000 servants of God from all the tribes of Israel. If God no longer sends prophets, how are these people to be gathered and sealed? This is an ongoing work that clearly hasn’t reached fulfillment yet. The role of prophets in gathering scattered Israel is central to many prophecies.
Moreover, Revelation 14 mentions an angel bringing the “everlasting gospel” to be preached to all the earth. If no more revelation or prophecy is to occur, how is this angelic event supposed to take place? And wouldn’t it be through prophetic guidance that such a global message is carried forth to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people?
Revelation 13 also talks about the rise of the beast and the mark of the beast that is required to buy and sell. If prophecy has ceased, who will prepare the faithful for these events? It stands to reason that prophets and revelation are essential to warn and guide God’s people through such perilous times, especially as we await the fulfillment of these future events.
Finally, the second coming of Christ itself, as described in Revelation 19, is preceded by many signs and wonders, many of which are yet to come. Prophets will be needed to help discern the times, interpret the signs, and ensure that the faithful are prepared for His return.
Clearly, Revelation contains prophecies that have not been fulfilled, and the role of prophets and continuing revelation remains crucial to see these events come to pass.
And I have something to tell you — the GOOD NEWS! — Christ has been giving us an unbroken chain of living prophets for nearly 200 years now, and has indeed been preparing this world and gathering in scattered Israel. All of these prophecies are in the midst of being fulfilled, and you’ve been asleep, unaware of the wonders all around you!
Come and see for yourself. I testify that the
of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s true restored Church brought forth in these last days to stand as a beacon of light in the darkness. The Priesthood has been released to all the world, and the work of salvation for the entire world is nearly complete. The time is drawing near when those two prophets will appear to vex Israel and Jerusalem, beginning the 42-months of war and tribulation. These things I testify, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
