Today was an exciting day full of adventure and sport fishing on the Big Eye 2. We set out from the picturesque port of Quepos, Costa Rica, with the sun rising on the horizon and a promise of a great catch in the air.

Our guest for the day was my good friend and loyal client, John Watson. John is no stranger to the sport fishing scene and has always shown a great passion for the thrill of the catch. We decided to go offshore, targeting the deep blue waters where the big game fish reside.

Our target for the day was sailfish, one of the most sought after species for sport fishing enthusiasts worldwide. Known for their speed, agility, and the iconic sail-like dorsal fin, these magnificent creatures always provide an exhilarating experience.

We fished for half a day offshore, using both live bait and artificial lures. The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze and calm sea conditions. The fish were biting, and we managed to hook two beautiful sailfish.

The first sailfish was a real fighter, giving John a run for his money. After a thrilling battle, John reeled in the fish, which was a spectacular specimen. The second sailfish was equally challenging, but John’s experience and skill paid off, and he managed to land it successfully.

Both fish were released back into the ocean, as we practice catch and release to help conserve these magnificent species for future generations to enjoy.
