Carving and trimming turns.
Carving turns involve a deep, rail-to-rail turn with a dramatic change of direction, using back-foot pressure to pivot the board, while trimming turns are more front-footed, maintaining the board’s direction along the wave face with a shallower rail angle for subtle adjustments to speed and position. Carving is for hard, aggressive turns, whereas trimming is for controlling speed and angle along the wave face.

I have always wanted to have my own surf retreat. Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of experience and developed methods and training programs designed to unlock a surfer’s full potential. Surfing has taught me so much, and this is my way of giving back! When my friend Manuel Yglesias, a seasoned and well-loved lawyer in Nosara, learned about my vision, he agreed to partner with me and handle all the administrative tasks and take the necessary steps to establish a top-notch company. This partnership allowed me to focus on what I love: training surfers.

Our all-inclusive surf retreat will take place from March 1 to 8. If you would like to know more, we are happy to set up a Q&A session with both of us.
