And just like that, FISU World Forum 2026 comes to an end 💙

Five inspiring days. From the sessions and discussions to sport, culture, laughter and all the moments in between, it has been a week filled with memories we’ll take with us long after the Forum.

A huge thank you to everyone who made these five days in Östersund possible, and to every participant who brought their ideas, energy and experiences to the Forum 🌍

Today, we’re making the most of the final hours with student project presentations, the Closing Ceremony and a final lunch together 💙

And while we’re getting ready to wrap up FISU World Forum 2026, we wanted to share a few voices from earlier this week! We caught up with Jane, Andreas and Punyawee a few days ago to hear about their experiences of the Forum, Mid Sweden University and Östersund 🌍

Meet our FISU World Forum 2026 volunteers! 💙

Our volunteers are an important part of making the forum happen. From welcoming participants and helping with activities to supporting the programme throughout the week.

We’re into day three of FISU World Forum 2026! 💙

The day started with a morning sports activity in form of Swedish Midsummer Games, followed by breakfast and the first parallel sessions of the day.

Today, participants will continue with student projects, join sessions about hosting FISU events and workshops. Later, the programme continues with an opportunity to meet the FISU President, lunch at the National Biathlon Arena and an afternoon of biathlon. The day will then continue with cultural activities and an outdoor dinner at Jamtli. 🌍

Day two of FISU World Forum 2026 is here! 💙

The day has already kicked off with sports, breakfast and parallel sessions, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather in Östersund today! ☀️

Today’s programme focuses on Dual Career Friendly Universities, with keynotes and a panel discussion exploring how universities can support student-athletes in balancing sport and education. Later, participants will take part in brännboll and a parasport try-out before wrapping up the day with a barbecue dinner on campus. 🌍

The first day of is coming to an end after an inspiring start in Östersund.

From the Opening Ceremony and inspiring sessions to networking, the FISU Fair and soon a Welcome Buffet – day one has been filled with new ideas, meaningful conversations and connections from around the world. 🌍
