The Dominical Lifeguards program depended 100% on donations for funding, and so it is the food provided every day for our lunch. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the business that provide our lunches all year around, rain or shine, high season or low season. We greatly appreciate!!!!!

The guards have been busy on the beach! Swell picked up today, the waves were 5-8ft+ and kept building trough out the day, there was strong rip currents all over the beach. Please be cautions when swimming, do not pass waist deep water, and surfing only recommended for advanced surfers!

A lot of people on the beach this Sunday, there is a big rip in front of San Clement. Please swim in front of the lifeguard tower.

Surf Report: Waves are 3-4ft, sunny, onshore winds are picking up, no signs of swell yet, tide is rising, waves are getting more open, not too much shape, 4 surfers out.

Starting today, our lifeguards are back in the tower. New donations allowed us to put the guards for this weekend trough Semana Santa back on the beach. We have new equipment and new members enjoying the crew, we are very happy about that. Please let's keep the donation coming in to continue the program and to keep the beach safe!

We are going to do daily surf report to keep YOU inform about the ocean conditions.
Low tide: 5:57am +1.6ft
High tide: 12:30 +7.4 ft
Waves: 3-5ft
rip current are stronger, swimming

Raining season started but we still see beautiful sunny days in Costa Rica. Ocean conditions can be tricky with the big waves this time of the year and the Baru river bringing large amounts of water and sometimes big trees into the see.
Be cautions when you are surfing, if you loose your board do not try to fight the rips, swim to the sides to get out of the rip area and use the waves to make your way to the shore.
For swimmers, please for your safety only swim in front of the lifeguard tower and between the flags.

DOMINICAL LIFEGUARDS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER!!!!
Save the date and spread the word!

Please take a moment to mark your calendars and dust off your gift certificates and email or deliver them or a full description of your contributions to Hotel Roca Verde or Jazzy's River House in Dominical. Or email them to: [email protected] (We will make the cert for you) or we can arrange to have them picked up by one of our volunteer helpers if need be. We are looking for prizes for our 'silent & verbal auctions' and our raffle event.

The party starts at 12pm (lunch served at 2:00) at the Roca Verde and includes Michael's famous barbequed Ribs&Chicken and other assorted food items, Jen's Amazing Margarita Bar, Music & Dance and Silent & Verbal Auctions, Raffles, T-shirt sales and lots of fun!!!

Please support not just with attendance and donations this year but with ideas & volunteerism. The past years have been a weekly struggle to keep ahead of payroll and we were not able to make it happen. The lifeguards have a proven record of saving lives and creating a safe area for our families and visitors to play. They don’t just save people from drowning but help with heat stroke, stingray stings, heart attacks, etc.
