Country weddings are everything they’re cracked up to be. The smell of wood, hay, lots of string lights hangin’ around and the sound of shoes on the dance floor, swaying to everything from Bluegrass to Jazz to Modern Country or Pop. The beauty of country weddings is that they can be as laid back or posh as you want them to be, which is why there are so many amazing country wedding ideas there.
Whether you’re throwing a country wedding for 20 or 200, in a barn or in an urban loft, you don’t necessarily have to be outside OR in the country to have one. A lot of country wedding ideas can be just as at home in New York as Tennessee. I actually prefer country weddings in a city setting–they’re that much more unexpected and fun!
I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite country wedding ideas, below, to show what you can do with everything from your wedding dress to your bar or wedding invitations. And keep in mind that just because certain setups are outside (like the ceremony seating on hay bales), these can easily be transformed to work in a city dwelling, too.
