Paraiso Ahimsa is opening its doors to yoga teachers, wellness facilitators and retreat leaders looking for a space to host their own retreat.

A place surrounded by jungle, overlooking the Caribbean, created for practice, connection and transformation.

I created Ahimsa Yoga School because I wanted to offer the kind of training I believe yoga deserves ✨

Not rushed.
Not impersonal.
Not focused only on memorizing sequences or collecting a certificate.

✨I wanted to create a space where people could go deeper.
✨Where asana is explored with curiosity, awareness and respect for each body.
✨Where alignment and biomechanics help you move and teach with more intelligence.
✨Where philosophy is something you live, not just something you write down in a notebook.
✨Where you are seen as an individual, not just another student in the room.

I wanted people to have time to question, to practice, to teach, to make mistakes, to step outside their comfort zone and slowly build confidence in their own voice 💓

And I wanted all of that to happen somewhere that naturally invites you to slow down: In the jungle. With the ocean in front of you. Surrounded by nature, away from the noise of everyday life Paraiso Ahimsa

My intention was never just to create more yoga teachers. It was to create an experience that helps you understand yoga more deeply, understand yourself more deeply, and leave with tools that stay with you long after the training ends 🤍🫶🏽

I keep going back for the people, the devotion, the colors, the chaos, the rituals… and for the way it always makes me see life differently ❣️

You are not your mind ✨

This is one of the most misunderstood ideas in yoga.
-
Yoga was never created to make us more flexible.
It was created to help us understand the nature of the mind and, ultimately, free ourselves from unnecessary suffering.

According to the yogic tradition, the mind isn’t one single thing:
It receives information.
It stores memories.
It creates identity.
It judges.
It reacts.
It remembers.
It imagines.
-
And most of the time, we unconsciously mistake all of that for who we are. The practice of yoga isn’t about stopping thoughts. It’s about developing enough awareness to witness them without becoming them. That shift changes everything.

The way you relate to fear.
To anxiety.
To relationships.
To success.
To failure.
To yourself.

The Yoga Sūtras describe yoga as:
“Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ.”

Not the destruction of the mind…but the quieting of its fluctuations, so we can finally see reality clearly.

Because beyond every thought, every emotion and every story…there is awareness. And that awareness has always been you 💜
