Today, two years ago, our eldest son tried to take his own life, four months after arriving in Colombia and a week after starting the school year at his new school.

We knew he was at risk after a terrible story of institutional bullying (institutional = when educators bully their students) abroad.

But it did take us by surprise.

September is the international month of prevention of su***de, and we want to invite you to watch this video that shows that the people that you least might expect could actually be thinking about ending their life.

Check on the people around you, and offer a listening ear to the people you care about. Sometimes the simplest gesture of generosity can save a life ✨

Coyote vs. Acme is, above all, a wonderful trip down memory lane. The first thing that captivates you is its visual style: seeing those classic animated characters that look hand-drawn, rescuing the 3D-blended magic and texture of masterpieces like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", is an absolute delight.

For those of us who grew up watching Looney Tunes morning cartoons, this movie is an instant dose of cinematic nostalgia. But the best part of the experience isn't just remembering the past; it's passing it down.

Seeing your own children enjoy the exact same physical humor you grew up with, while the entire theater bursts into non-stop laughter, is something very few modern releases achieve. It is family entertainment in its purest and most effective form.

However, behind the gags and explosions, the film hides an uncomfortable undertone that deeply resonates with adults. The climax, which reveals that ACME's defective products are tested on cartoons simply because they are deemed "disposable," serves as a brilliant yet unsettling social satire. It is impossible not to draw a parallel to our recent reality, evoking the uncomfortable feeling of having been the trial-and-error guinea pigs for global pharmaceutical corporations with certain rushed vaccines.

It leaves you with a bittersweet aftertaste: the sad but lucid realization that, sometimes, ordinary citizens are treated like cartoon characters— expendable in a laboratory so the powerful can perfect a final version intended for a select few. Ultimately, Coyote vs. Acme delivers on all fronts: it keeps the kids laughing from start to finish and stimulates critical thinking for parents. A nostalgic gem with a corporate bite that is much sharper than it appears.

The End of Oak Street is a wild, genre-blending ride that masterfully balances blood-soaked prehistoric terror with a deeply moving emotional core.

This movie is strictly not for younger audiences, as it pulls no punches with heavy swearing, graphic violence, and intense gore! ☠️

However, for a teenage population aged 13 and up, it offers an incredibly thrilling experience. Dinosaur enthusiasts will be absolutely ecstatic to see some of the most scientifically accurate prehistoric creatures ever put on film, including a stunning, blue-feathered Allosaurus that perfectly mirrors recent paleontological discoveries 🦖

Beyond the creature-feature excitement, the film delivers an unexpectedly beautiful lesson about grief and appreciation. It forces us to realize that if we had a second chance to treat our loved ones better—cherishing them as if we already know the agonizing pain of losing them forever—we would value the simple things we once took for granted.

It teaches us to forgive the minor mistakes we thought we could no longer stand, showing that when viewed from a broader perspective, those flaws were never truly terrible at all.

Today, our favorite high-altitude home turns 488. There is something truly extraordinary about how this city embraces the world. Colombia has a profound, beautiful love for children and an open-door policy for every traveler and expat who arrives from afar. If you ask families who lived here as expats, they will tell you: a few years in Bogotá leaves an imprint that children never forget.

They remember the warmth of the neighborhood parks, the smiles of strangers turning into lifelong friends, the magic of the Sunday Ciclovía, and the vibrant pulse of the Andes. You arrive as a stranger, but the city adopts your family as its own. To all the little ones—past and present—who grew up running through the misty mountains and steep streets of La Candelaria: Bogotá never forgets you either.💛❤️ Happy birthday, la capital!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a refreshing and grounded take on the web-slinger. //Attention spoilers ahead// ⚠️

Instead of pretending to carry the world alone, Peter Parker faces the truth we all try to hide: we need other people. Watching him realize that his flaws and "ugly" sides are just as much a part of him as his heroism is deeply moving.

We live in a time when social media tells children they must be fully independent and that older generations are out of touch. This story breaks that illusion.

If a brave superhero can lean on a friend, cry on a shoulder, and admit he needs an understanding ear, then so can we.
