Being True To You A network of Psychedelic Integration + Transformational Recovery coaches helping others. Sessions are held by phone or video, at a pace that fits your life.

Being True To You offers preparation and integration coaching for people going through psychedelic therapy, alternative treatment programs, or recovery — and training for those who feel called to do this work themselves. Deanne Adamson founded Being True To You in 2010, when almost nobody was offering structured support for what happens after a profound experience. What began with one coach is now a nationwide team, each with their own specialization and their own road through this work. Our coaches help people use a hard season — addiction, loss, upheaval — as a starting point rather than an ending. That means inner work: mind, body and spirit. It also means outward work: purpose, direction, and a life that matches what you actually value. Being True To You coaches are not counselors or mental health professionals. We do not assess, diagnose or treat, and coaching does not replace professional medical care. Being True To You does not approve, suggest, source or refer psychedelic substances or providers. Call or email — we'd love to hear from you. (833) 379-0070 · [email protected] · www.beingtruetoyou.com

We’ll be back, Austin. 🪷

Our tabletop at Beyond Wonderland stayed busy from start to finish, with graduates, coaches, therapists and new friends, many sent by someone who said, “You have to go talk to Being True To You.” Nothing will stay with us longer than the students who shared, some in tears, what our training community has meant to them.

Thank you Dave Asprey Wonderland Conference and AWKN Ranch for an unforgettable week. 💜

And to everyone we met, thank you. There are too many to name, but here are a few of the wonderful people we were lucky to connect with:

LaRae Morris, our very own Integration Coaching alumna
Celine Cousteau, one of the event’s speakers
William David Naylor and Mariya .dudareva, who welcomed us to AWKN Ranch
Bryan Hubbard
Jonathan Otto
Paul Karasik
Isaac Abadi
Dr. Nima Farshid
Carla Kieffer
Joanne Rees
Patrick Stanger
Eli Call
Alana Underground.mama

The big moment is rarely the hardest part. The weeks after it are.

Everyone gets ready for the event itself. Hardly anyone tells you what the stretch afterward is like. It's a disorienting place to stand, and because nobody names it, many people read the disorientation as proof they've mishandled something. They've lost the moment. They're doing it wrong.

Usually, they aren't. What feels like losing your way is often a sign that something real moved. The weeks after are not a failure to hold on to what happened. They're where it either settles into your life or quietly slips away. It's slower, plainer work than the moment ever was, and it's often the part that stays with you.

Save this now, while it's interesting. A few weeks in, for you or for someone you love, it may be exactly what's needed.

If what you're feeling goes beyond disorientation, please reach out to a medical or mental health professional.

Individual experiences vary. Being True To You coaches are not counselors or mental health professionals. We do not assess, diagnose, or treat conditions, and we do not replace professional medical care.

Notice the words Steve, a Being True To You–certified coach, chooses:

Clearer.
More intentional.
Calmer.
More focused.

Those aren't moods that turn up on a good week. They're the kind of change that comes from working on yourself steadily, in one direction, long enough that other people start to notice.

Our coach training asks that of a person before it asks anything else, which is why graduates often describe the personal change first and the professional one second.

If you've been wondering whether coaching is your path, or you know someone who has, this is a good place to start.

Being True To You coaches are not counselors or mental health professionals. We do not assess, diagnose, or treat conditions, and we do not replace professional medical care.

Thank you, AWKN Ranch ATX .

While we were in Austin, Texas for Beyond Wonderland, William David Naylor, founder of AWKN Ranch, and his wife, Mariya, opened their doors to our team. They gave us quiet mornings under the oaks, easy evenings under the lights, and the kind of hospitality that lets you truly rest.

William and Mariya, thank you for your warm welcome and for making room for us. We’re grateful.

With gratitude,
- the Being True To You team

Today, day 2 of Beyond Wonderland in Austin, Texas was full of new experiences, good laughs, and conversations that make you pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Every story deserves someone who listens, and we’re grateful for everyone who shared theirs with us.

Deanne Adamson was delighted to try on the newest eyewear innovation from our host, Dave Asprey. What a fun moment!

A special highlight: our own LaRae Morris, a Being True To You–certified coach, stopped by to say hello and spent the day sending new friends our way. Thank you, LaRae! 🤍

We also loved connecting with Paul Karasik of the Psych3delic Institute of Los Angeles, and with so many others who stopped by Tabletop #224.

To everyone we met these past two days: thank you. We loved meeting you.

You can explain the pattern in one sentence. And you still do it.

Years of doing your own work. You know where it came from, what it protects, why it made sense once. You've read the books, listened to the podcasts, had the realizations. And your week looks the same as it did.

Most people read that as evidence that they are too damaged, or just bad at this. It's the most common wrong conclusion there is. Understanding something and living differently are two separate skills, and almost nobody is ever taught the second one. That's a gap in what you were offered, not a fault in you.

The second half is learnable, and it's smaller than you think. One insight, one question: where does this get practiced this week, and with who?

Send this to someone who thinks they're bad at this.

Backwards is the word most people would have left out. Patty Rotolo, a Being True To You–certified coach, left it in, and it may be the truest part of what she said.

Growth gets sold as a straight line. So the first time someone finds themselves back inside an old pattern, they decide the whole thing has failed, and they stop. Often it hasn't. Going backwards is part of the path. Becoming a coach means learning that in your own life before you walk alongside anyone else through theirs.

If you've been wondering whether coaching is your path, save this, or share it with someone who has been.

Individual experiences vary. Being True To You coaches are not counselors or mental health professionals. We do not assess, diagnose, or treat conditions, and we do not replace professional medical care.
