At the time Anciong Bacon was promoting his single weapon system, most eskrima styles in Cebu used double weapons.

Anciong was challenged more than once by persons wielding double weapons. I can imagine the skill level of Anciong in overcoming his challengers. Not easy to go against a skilled opponent with 2 weapons
