🇨🇭 8 Swiss players, 8 medals for Switzerland! 🇨🇭

What a weekend in Denmark at the World Doubles Championships and the Nordic Racket Games!

🏆 World Doubles Championships

Switzerland collected medals almost as reliably as players collect sore muscles after a long tournament weekend.

In the elite categories, Switzerland claimed two bronze medals:
🥉 Nicole Eisler won bronze in the Women Elite Doubles together with Izzy Bramhall from England.
🥉 Nicolas Lenggenhager reached the podium in the Men Elite Doubles alongside Matěj Volf from the Czech Republic.

But Nicole was far from done: in the Women +40 Doubles, she won her first World Championship title in women’s doubles. In the same category, Adeline Kilchenmann secured silver together with Kirsten Kaptein from the Netherlands.

Another World Championship title went to Graham King, who won gold in the Men +70 Doubles with Julian Clapp from England. And because stopping after one medal would have been too easy, Graham also added bronze in the Men +65 Doubles.

There was also plenty of brother power: Léon and Noah Mamié produced strong performances in the Men Elite Doubles and finished in an excellent 6th place.

Also finishing 6th were Andreas Kotala and his brother — and tournament newcomer — Petr Kotala in the Men B Doubles.

🇩🇰 Nordic Racket Games

After two intense days of doubles, some of the toughest Swiss players continued straight into the Nordic Racket Games.

Nicolas Lenggenhager once again proved that tiredness is apparently optional. On days 3 and 4, he confirmed his excellent form and secured a sensational 3rd place.

And the most dramatic moment? Graham King’s gold medal via gummiarm challenge. Maximum tension, shaking nerves, and a proper show for the crowd.

And overall?

Great venue. Great food. Great atmosphere. Slightly damaged bodies. Excellent medal haul.

In short: everything good.

Congratulations to all Swiss players on a fantastic weekend! 🇨🇭🔥

🇨🇭 Kotala Wins U21, Paglia Dominates 50+, Silver for King in 60+ 🇨🇭

Here’s a look at the Swiss seniors’ and juniors’ performances at this year’s Racketlon Swiss Open.

He clearly separates himself from the field in badminton and squash – not even needing to play a single point of tennis.

Table tennis specialist and 5-Schläger-Turnier veteran Resat Akdag (GER) finishes second.

🥉 André Fallet (SUI), the tireless tennis specialist, secures third place.

Seniors 60+

Victor Solomon (GRE) finishes third.

🇨🇭 Strong Swiss Women’s Results at the Racketlon Swiss Open 2026 🇨🇭

Women A – Elite
The three most successful Swiss women on the World Tour in recent years faced world no. 1 Pauline Cavé (FRA) – who remained undefeated.

🥈 Nicole Eisler proved to be Cavé's toughest opponent, finishing second.
The 10-time Swiss champion beat two of her toughest rivals of recent years, Adeline Kilchenmann and Dara Ladner (SUI), making the difference especially in squash.

🥉 Adeline Kilchenmann
Adeline once again wins the rematch of last weekend against Dara Ladner (SUI), relying on her trademark discipline – badminton.

U21 Girls
🥇 Victoria Dübendorfer claims the title.
The NLA player from BC Zürich dominates in badminton in every match and also impresses in squash.

Romy Nothegger (AUT) finishes second, ahead of Hanna Liisa Tommjõe (EST) in third place.

Women Seniors 50+
🥉 Susan Rutschmann secures third place behind Nora Barta-Boncz (HUN) and Carola von Heimburg (GER).

🥉 Men A – Elite
Léon Mamié wins an outstanding bronze medal – his best result at the Swiss Open so far.
He showed some of his best tennis to defeat top seed Bastian Böhm (GER) in the quarterfinals and Matěj Volf (CZE) in the bronze match.
In the semifinal, he narrowly lost to eventual silver medalist Julien Castel (FRA).

🥉 Men B
Flavio Wolf reaches the semifinals after two convincing wins.
After losing to eventual winner Sandro Lena (FRA), he bounces back to secure the bronze medal – his best result on the Racketlon World Tour to date.

🥈 Men C
Padel specialist Riccardo Raimo proves he’s still got it.
He reaches the final and loses in an epic “gummiarm” by the smallest of margins.

🥇 First Timer

Léon Mamié wins the 5th Fricktaler Racketlon Tournament – Wolf with Lausanne/Frick double

On Sunday, April 12, the 5th Fricktaler Racketlon Tournament took place at the Tennis & Squash Center Frick, organized by , with 21 players competing across three categories and delivering high-level matches throughout the day.

Men’s A
Swiss No. 1 and reigning national champion Léon Mamié lived up to expectations, but was pushed hard by Flavio Wolf (Swiss No. 10). After falling behind early, Wolf fought back strongly in squash and tennis, coming close to an upset before Mamié secured the win with +6.
Wolf confirmed his excellent form with 2nd place, completing the Lausanne/Frick double after finishing runner-up the day before.
3rd place went to Riccardo Raimo, ahead of tennis specialist and first-timer Nathan Eugster, who impressed in his Racketlon debut.

Open B
Adeline Kilchenmann (Swiss Women’s No. 5) defeated Dara Ladner (Swiss Women’s No. 9) in the final already before tennis, thanks to her outstanding badminton performance. A rematch between the two top players will follow this Saturday at the Swiss Open.
Pascal Brodbeck, tournament organizer and president of RC Fricktal, secured 3rd place, while René Meier impressed with 4th place in his debut.

Open C
The surprise of the day came from 65-year-old Roberto Ferrari, who won his first title in dominant fashion, defeating the top seeds along the way.
Matthias Sprecher took 2nd place, followed by Rafael Werner in 3rd.

Paglia dominates strong Oliver Open Cham

The Oliver Open in Cham at the Sports Zugerland delivered a highly competitive tournament, especially in the A category featuring several top players.

In category A, Raphael Paglia dominated the field – without even needing to play tennis. He won both his group matches as well as the final before the last discipline. Eskil Jarlskog impressed by reaching the final from his group, but also lost his final match before tennis. In the match for third place, Flavio Wolf secured the podium with a narrow +2 win against Danijel Batinic.

In category B, the Keller family was strongly represented: Stephan Keller and his sons Cédric Keller and Silvan Keller all competed. Silvan Keller claimed the title with a victory in the final against Racketlon legend and Over-70 World Champion Graham King. King had previously defeated Stephan Keller in a tight “Gummiarm” (deciding game) in the semi-finals. Third place also went to Stephan Keller, who won the small final against André Fallet.

Category C featured an encouraging participation of five women, including several first-timers. In the end, however, the men prevailed: Chris Stäubli won the category in the final against table tennis specialist Roberto Ferrari. First-timer Timo Bunk secured third place.

The tour continues on the weekend of April 11–12, 2026, with tournaments in Lausanne (April 11) and Frick (April 12). The Racketlon Swiss Open will then take place from April 17–19, 2026, at Sihlsports in Langnau.
