EFRA GP in Lostallo

The second EFRA GP took place in Lostallo. We started our Trainings on Friday and we worked a lot. First of all we tested hard and soft differential, several shocks at the front and heck of the car and several oils and springs also the shock bodies. At the front shocks I took the long spring so the car was stable and calm. We also tested the anti-roll bar wires. With the soft wire the car was very instable and flexible and with the hard wire the car was very balanced and had a good grip at the front and at the heck. Our Picco Engine also worked very well and we could test a lot of different setup parts. For us it was a perfect testing-day.

On Saturday the Qualifications started. In the Morning I could drive very good qualifications and I could fix the second place in the ranking list. In the afternoon the sun shined very strong and it was very hot. Despite the heat we could drive as fast as in the morning. But my personal besttime I drove in the second qualification round. In the Saturday evening the super pole also took place. Because I could fix the second place in the qualifications I had to drive at least. First of all we had some engine problems, the plug of the engine destroyed and we had to change the plug. The time for the six rounds started and I knew that I had to drive as fast as I can. My mechanic changed the pug and I could fix the fastest time in my first lap with 20.990. I was very happy! It was just an amazing day.

The Sunday was the final day. My car worked very good during the final and the engine worked perfect for the 45 minutes of the final. The first 5 minutes Toni Gruber, Patrick Fankhauser and I drove the same laptimes. After 15 minutes I had a problem with the electronic system. My mechanic realized it very fast and through a fresh plug in the electronic system worked again for the rest of the race. After 25 Minutes my tires were down and so we changed them. My mechanic team changed the tires very fast, they made the quickest tire change of the hole race! Until 25 minutes I was on the second position. Toni Gruber was first. Because of a technical problem, Toni Gruber felled out of the race and I could take the first place of the race. So I finished the race on the first place. After those 45 minutes I was very tired and down. For me it was the second 45 minutes race in my life. But now, I was very happy!

I send a great THANKS to Traugott Schär and Monika Ackermann from TM Models Switzerland for the support. Also a big THANKS to EFRA and Javier Gracia for organize the ERFA GP. The race was really amazing. I want also say THANK YOU to the Club MRTM of Lostallo for the realization of the EFRA GP. Those 3 Days in Lostallo were wonderful!

And last but not least I send a big THANKS to my team. Michel Jakob my mechanic (he is the best mechanic!) and our management and second mechanic Andrea Amstutz, you two are amazing!
