BODY RECOMPOSITION : How it's works
Most people think you need a calorie surplus to gain muscle, but there’s an exception—body recomposition. This is when you lose fat and build muscle at the same time.
How Does It Work?
If you have a higher body fat percentage, your body can use stored fat as an energy source to make up for the calorie deficit. As long as your training is on point and you’re getting enough protein, your muscles can still grow.
But here’s the catch—recomp doesn’t work for everyone. The leaner you are, the harder it is for your body to pull enough energy from fat stores. If you already have a low body fat percentage, you won’t be able to build muscle in a deficit. You’ll need at least a slight calorie surplus.
Bottom line: body recomposition is possible, but it depends on your body fat levels.
