The Challengers Baseball and Softball Club Zurich was founded in 1980 as the first official baseball club in Switzerland. We have come a long way since then and have teams on all levels - Juniors, 1st League, NLB and NLA as well as an NLA Softball team. Over the years, we have collected numerous titles, successfully participated in several international tournaments and have consistently had multip

Veteran’s Game – a proper Challengers classic ⚾️🇨🇭

Once a year, the club’s legends lace them up again to remind the young guns exactly who made history.

In 2025, the vets took on the current squad. The score? We lost count after the beers came around 🍻

What never changes: the laughs, the chirping, and the Challengers spirit 🔥

On Sunday we hosted the 10th edition of the Challengers Junior Indoor Tournament at ETH Hönggerberg. Four U12 and four U15 teams took part, and for many of our youngest players it was their first real tournament experience.

Both our U12 and U15 squads finished fourth, but with such young groups on the field the focus was clearly on learning, competing, and having fun, and they did all of that!

A big thank you to all teams, supporters, and especially the volunteers who helped make this anniversary tournament a great day for everyone. 🙌❤️

🇨🇭⚾ Last week the Swiss Baseball National Team made history at the European Championship with an all-time best 11th place finish.

In their final game they capped off the tournament with a big win over France, a strong opponent and a great way to finish the week.

We’re proud of our Challengers players who contributed to this success and represented both Switzerland and our club on the international stage! 👏👏

🍁 September is playoff time in the Swiss NLA Softball Championship! 🥎

After the long summer break for the European Cups and European Championship (where Team Switzerland finished an excellent 12th) the postseason finally begins this Saturday.

And it starts with a bang: a full triple-header Zurich city derby! 🔥
Our Challengers (12–8) face the Barracudas (16–4) in a best-of-three series at Rümelbach Field in Rümlang.

The regular season was dead even, each team taking a doubleheader split, and while the Barracudas bring extra game experience from their EuroCup final run in Enschede, the Challengers come in rested and fully focused on making the playoffs their season highlight.

🥈U12 secures second place! 🥈

Our U12 Challengers had a big day at the Final Four on the Klopstockwiese. After a strong 6–2 win against the Geneva Dragons in the semifinal, the team reached the final against the Flyers.

There, the Flyers proved too strong and took the title with 14–3. Still, our kids showed great fight and earned a well-deserved silver medal.

A huge thank you to all the fans who came out to support and to everywhere who helped out with the team and 2025 season. It made the finals day special! ❤️⚾️

We'd also like to congratulate our six seniors who are graduating to the U15 team next season. Well done and good luck boys! 💪

And a special thanks to for supporting our youth program. Their contribution helped us run our season, from equipment to infrastructure, keeping costs fair for families and giving our young players the chance to develop their skills and passion for the game. 🙏
