I still have the picture in my head of Nadège arriving at my workshop with her old ride; upper body leaning almost horizontal over the bike; that much her bike was too long for her (and too tall as well).
The obvious task was pretty straightforward: we need to build her a bike that fits her size.
Secondly: it needs to be practical for commuting; lights, mudguards and (rear) rack; it needs to be able to travel (panniers).
All built with modern components in mind: disc brakes, thru-axle etc.
The third challenge was aesthetics: she likes vintage bikes; her main concern was: don’t make it too sloping. To add some old fashion I proposed to do attach the seat stays the old school way as well. Nadège opted for a lugged fork crown with bent fork blades.
The crown she chose was available only in 1” steerer version so I adapted it to fit a 1”1/8 steerer.
The result is a pretty sweet 650c bike which fits her well with some neat details if you know where to look.

This is Emils non custom gravel bike he rides since 2024. He’s my son.
Initially we had something completely different in mind. An all round flat-bar bike for a soon-to-be teenager.
I designed the frame geo, and he decided the paint job inspired by one of his favourite ice hockey teams.
We started building the frame and fork together in summer of 2023 during weekends, made some good progress, then left the project for a few weeks, worked more on it and…..suddenly it was automn, frame almost done but not completely. Emil`s hockey season starts which means time on weekends is a rare good. I finished the frame by spring, but didn`t have all parts yet, in the meanwhile he rides `s old OnOne. Summer comes, I think now or never, we need to build up that bike, but looking at my son, guess what; he`s basically outgrown that frame before we had a chance to build it up; luckly he has a small sister, and luckly happens sometimes (rarly) that clients decide that they finally can`t afford the frame you have almost finished building for them.
In 2022 i got commissionned an all-road frame by collegue. High end tubing, internal routing, and a classy black matt and gold paint job.
Unfortunatly (fortunately), for different reasons the person didn’t have the means anymore to pay me, so i kept the frame waiting till I got paid…which never happend. Sitting at the workshop waiting for a new owner, this was the perfect accasion!! I assembled the missing parts, recuperated some from his old ride and built it up.
This is the story behind the non-custom gravel bike! last summer the bike fitted perfectly, 6 month later it is already on the smaller side. Let’s see what’s coming next, but first enjoy the few pics.

ps: the initial frame is is now painted bright pink and going to his little sister, you’ll gonna read about it soon.

Hi there hope you’re enjoying the holidays!! It’s been quiet around this account lately, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been active workwise. Quite the opposite is acctually true.
Where to start after having not posted any of my stuff during the last two years (expect the occasional story and a reel from someone else, here and there). Then again i probably never posted more than every second bike i built anyway.

Obviously it’s not the first time I would like to activate this account to show you more of my work, but for different reasons that’s muuuch more difficult for me than build you that “impossible” bike you have in you’re mind.

Now, I find myself with quite big archive of picutes I could (should?) show you. Intrigued???

Anyway, lets see how long I can keep up the insta-game; right now I’m on my first real holiday since quite a long time so this challenge rather seems easy, but it’s possible that when back in the shop i’ll have other priorities than creating social media posts.

To start here’s a selection of detail shots of some bikes, frames, forks,, prototypes, modifications and repairs i made over the last two years. Maybe there’s one that awakens your interest and you would like to know more about that specific project, then let me know in the comments i’ll make a detailed post later.
