⛵ Bol d’Or 2025 – A Sporty and Stormy Adventure on Le Légré 🌩️

Maeva Isch, Grégoire Peverelli (both former Presidents) and Tobias Knudsen (former Head of Finance & IT), proudly represented HSG Sailing at the iconic Bol d’Or du Léman — the world’s largest inland regatta (123km from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back).

We raced aboard Le Légré, a wooden beauty from 1939, freshly restored and full of spirit. After a calm night sail to the far end of the lake, worsening forecasts and a looming thunderstorm near Geneva forced us to retire.

The crew and the boat made it safely through the 30 hours sailing and the storm — some unforgettable moments were captured along the way. ⚡

42.7 nautical miles. 5 hours of engine. 6 students. 1 unforgettable week. ⚓🌞

We set out from Tuscany on a 34ft boat and explored Elba and Capraia with nothing but wind and a sense of adventure. From discovering abandoned prisons to sunset swims and long nights of laughter — this trip had it all.

A mixed crew from bachelor to PhD, united by sailing, curiosity, and a taste for adventure. 🌊🇮🇹
